i guess my biggest headcanon for kakuhida is that despite his age, hidan lives much like a 91 year old probably would.

sure most of the time hes doing his “stupid things that 22 year olds do” kinda thing when on missions, but since his religion makes him opposed to more material pleasures like some technology and entertainment, i think he would otherwise live a lot like an old man does.

he would be picky about what day to go to the store because dealing with heavy foot traffic makes him annoyed, and he doesn’t watch tv, he doesn’t read either (this is less for religious reasons and more that i just don’t think he’s very good at it), he sort of just takes walks and complains about how other people walk, or he prays? i guess? and he eats. that’s literally all he does, at least if he’s alone for the day.

and that kinda translates to kakuzu spending time with him ignoring him complaining, or buying him food and items he wont buy himself (but will absolutely use, despite his distaste for kakuzu’s greed and material things)

and all of that of course doesn’t mean kakuzu doesn’t ALSO live like an old man, he absolutely does, just a little different.

in short, they’re kinda like two grandfathers, only one is actually old enough to be one though.

im sure the naruto fandom has made a swap au where sasuke and naruto switch narrative positions and im just late buuuut

i especially like ones where naruto’s story follows the same route but some sort of event makes him realize the village will never accept him.

i also like the concept of obito and kakashi’s positions switched, but the story still following the same suit (save for a few tweaks so kakashi ends up on the bad end of things).

i like the idea of naruto maybe losing iruka in something he blames the leaf for, everything up to that moment made sense until he loses the one person who truly accepted him. and then, sasuke, having obito as a sensei instead of kakashi, kind of gets that sense of family again as “tobi-sensei” reveals himself to be an uchiha to sasuke proving he is not alone.

and then maybe naruto chooses to go with orochimaru AFTER training with jiraiya, so he’d been the pupil of two sannin.

as for kakashi and obito the entire ordeal would be terribly emotional and sad. since kakashi would likely blame obito for making him think he was dead, torturing him by ending up with the sharingan eye, which kakashi (in this au) considers to be a curse.

kakashi ends up with the akatsuki and his silly romance reading and never on time personality is how he hides himself like tobi.

meanwhile obito would still be a really funny sensei, much sillier than kakashi obviously. and on top of that i think since naruto is taking sasuke’s position in the story having obito try and convince naruto not to turn on the village just because of loneliness and the lack of acceptance would be really fitting for the both of them.

on top of that i think sasuke in naruto’s position would be a lot more troubling by shippuden. since sasuke’s angst is so much more internalized he would basically just be like kakashi in the normal au.

need to finish up shippuden so i can make more accurate au headcanons but idk, i think it’d be interesting
