But if not for kneeling, why kneeling shaped? I think I've painted him pining and yearning, but I really wanted to paint him somewhat at peace with the final decisions, even a tad bit satisfied? and with self-acceptance, because ultimately he is a man who does kneel. (in my head canon anyways) I've also painted him kneeling here. Possible missed detail after the jump~

His eyes are actually open. This piece is inspired by JC Leyendecker's "New Rochelle" piece, I have a few more rookanis leyendecker studies comin~ Also if you want a brilliant fic where Lucanis does end up kneeling and dramatically so, @rookanis-de-riva has finished there amazing indulgent fic for me. The first chapter is sfw, and then it just goes wildly nsfw so mind the tags.

ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves

back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore

if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??

don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM

so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!

this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together

and then in the end you put it together like this!!

and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy

When I get blood samples at work sometimes they’re still warm from being imminently inside the patient’s veins and my hands are always cold because all the labs Ive work in are in the basement and they keep it kinda cold for whatever reason (and I’m also just a chilly kid).

And I clutch the little warm tubes of blood and feel this sick person warming my hands and I think about how kind you might be and how I wish I could hold your hand and how badly, how really really badly, I want you to get better and stay warm and hold someone’s hand again.

And anyway sometimes it’s better to not think so vividly about the people I’m doing tests for. I’m a good little cog in a vast machine of people all trying to heal and cure, and my cog feels so fucking small sometimes. But I hope the blood I prepare for you helps you breathe better and laugh and wake up feeling well rested.
