Apparently the loud snicker echoing through the dungeons didn’t ease up the whole situation at all. Julian tried to laugh along but it sounded a little nervous “Ah…it’s not that difficult to notice if you stare so hard like…right into my soul?…and you were standing on my left side where I can easily spot you.” He looked down at the smaller medic slightly leaning forward to match Orion’s height  “Sooo…was it just a personal challenge or there’s something on my face I’m not aware of…or any other reason?”

Orion wrinkled their nose, shaking their head. “No, there isn’t anything on your face. I guess it was more of a personal challenge, but also because you have a decent face.”

They felt satisfied enough with their answer, flashing a beaming smile at the tall doctor. “It is a bit funny at how nervous you got. It’s only me after all.” they stated, as if that mattered at all. Anyone would be nervous getting stared at so intensely.

Oh. A decent face. “Uuhmmm…Thank you, I guess?” he could never quite understand if people used decent in a positive or negative sense. If anything it was decent enough that the other has been staring at it for the past minutes. “What! Me, nervous? Never.” he solemnly declared with an hand over his heart. How could it be unsettling that Orion seemed to be taking up their mentor’s habits? “Okay, just a tiny bit” he conceded signing the exact amount with his thumb and index almost touching. “Glad to provide fun…but what do you mean it’s only you?Shouldn’t I take you seriously?”

Orion clicked their tongue before letting out a soft puff of warm air. The leaned towards their left, pushing a too big medical tome back into the ty space of the nearby bookshelf.

"Professionally, of course you should! Right now, though? We're hardly doing anything productive. The Doctor is out of town for the week so there isn't much work to be done. Why not have some fun?"

The petit medic gestured with a delicate, scarred hand for Julian to sit beside them. Their bright eyes seemed intent on following their colleagues every movement; an old habit retained from an unconventional childhood.

"Are you hungry? I know you sometimes forget to eat when your get caught up in you businesses."

Got out of the hospital yesterday. Gotta have surgery on October 12th for colon cancer. If anyone can help, I’m putting the money that y'all sent towards that and using some for the initial meds as well.

Even if you can’t help, please share this i’m offering readings for sale $4 each for a 3 card spread. Anything helps honestly because I’m not sure how I’m gonna cover this and take time out of the new job I just got. Good vibes and wishes are appreciated too!

I may not be able to get the surgery on the scheduled date unless I have half of the payment. It’s going to be pushed back otherwise and things can get worse between now and then.
