Sims 3t2 Traits - Alarm Clock Smash

Something new I found in Sims 2 recently was that grouchy Sims can actually smash and break the alarm clock during the "Turn Off Alarm" interaction when an alarm is going off.

Sims 2 really does seem endless.

Anyways, I made a little traits mod where Sims will smash the alarm clock if they're in a bad mood OR if they have the Hot-Headed OR Grumpy trait. It also checks for Technophobe

The BHAV then checks for Body Skill. sims with high enough body skill will break the alarm! I edited it to allow Athletic Sims to also break the clock regardless of skill.

After much effort, I've completely re-uploaded the images for SHWC on Dreamwidth. These were previously hosted on Livejournal and therefore unavailable to most viewers. You can find it all here:

I started this story in 2007, and it has been ongoing for 18+ years (with breaks along the way). Please keep this in mind if you are a newcomer to the story. It has changed and grown along the way, as have the characters. Mostly, it's a coming of age story, and a love story/stories.

New entries will be posted to Dreamwidth. With this out of the way, I'm back to working on future updates. I've got lots of stuff I'm looking forward to sharing.

Thank u for your reply. Just to let you know, I only play the base game (cd version) and only use the shadow fix mod. That bug doesn't happend when playing in og pleaseantview. Maybe I need more Ep's for the clean template works perfectly, anyway, I'll try with University to see if it fix it. :)

Fair enough, I've never tried it with just base game and I doubt many people have. 😅There are memories added that only came with later EPs (like First Woohoo), and perhaps other minor things like that as well, though why it would mess with adoption I really couldn't say.

Just curious - why are you playing only base game?

Hi! I just found out a bug when playing in your Pleaseant View Clean Template (Main Hood version WITH townies). Whenever I call up for adoption service, an aproval message from social worker pops up, as soon as i click ok, the buy/build mode get locked, until the next day when social worker shows up with the new kid, then buy/build mode is avaliable again, but then again, when the social worker leaves the lot, the buy/build mode gets greyed out for good on that specific lot/house.

That is not something that my template could possibly do, that's a problem with your game, probably a mod, or some awesome bug introduced by EA in the legacy edition.

Hi, I'm brazilian. I'm using Google Translate to chat with you. I installed your clean pleasantview templantes version that you made, downloaded it directly from your tumblr, but for some reason, Bela Goth still hasn't appeared in the neighborhood or in the Goth Family. I also noticid that Brandi Broke stil had a boy. I'm playing with her, and I downloaded her neighborhood precisely because I wanted her to have a girl, but that didn't work either. Could you plase help me???

Bella Goth is a townie and you can find her in the townie family or wandering around the neighbourhood. You can use a Teleporter mod to find her and add her to a family.

Brandi is not guaranteed to have a girl, I've just fixed the father (Skip Broke) so her pregnancy is like any other, and she can have a boy OR a girl, who will have genetics from both parents (instead of always being a boy clone of Brandi). I recommend saving right before she gives birth, and then exit without saving if she has a boy, and try again until you get a girl.

I have a question about Uberhoods. Say I really want the sims from Veronaville and Desiderata Valley, but the neighborhoods themselves are meh to me. Could I relocate those sims to other subhoods, then delete the Veronaville and Desiderata subhoods? Or would this break the game? I know Veronaville in particular has so many graves so the thought of deleting it makes me a little nervous.

Hi there. :)

You can absolutely do this, by moving the sims into the sim bin and move them into new houses where you want them, it won't break anything. However, do not move their houses/lots to the lot bin while they're still living in them. This won't "break" anything either in the "game corruption" sense but it will make the neighbourhood a complete mess with broken sim relationships and duplicate "stub" sims all over the place. So don't do that. Deleting graves isn't as dangerous as it was made out to be either, it won't destroy your neighbourhood or game. But a better solution is to make a community lot graveyard in your main neighbourhood, and before you move the sims out - enter the homes where there are graves (Capps and Montys) and select them and pick "move graves" to the graveyard. All the actual sim references (including dead sims) get added to the main neighbourhood when you add a subhood, so deleting the subhood itself is perfectly fine.
