Hi, welcome to my Tumblr! I'm an Egyptologist, writer, and debut novelist. My first book, THE SHABTI, is coming out in summer 2024. I'm not sure who, if anyone, follows this Tumblr anymore since I haven't updated it in years, but:

A) hopefully will be able to get this webcomic going again soon and

B) I'm experimenting with a prose/series of short stories-version of the webcomic which I've posted HERE. Maybe it could be a book? If people like it? Question mark?

So if you like the idea of a horny, laid-back elf and an uptight merman aka these guys below having misadventures, check it out! Or don't! I'm not your mom!

So I have this webcomic, and I wanted to try writing a prose version of the same story, and wanted to post it in installments. So I posted it on SpaceBattles (a site I had never been to before) and on AO3 (a cozy haunt I am very comfortable with). But the feedback I'm getting is that AO3 isn't the place for this, so for that plus other reasons, I'm gonna post chapters -- unpaywalled! for free! It's free, guys! -- on Patreon.

Here's the blurb:

Humans invaded Fairyland, and we're being real dicks about it. While living under our dickish rule, a laid-back elf and an uptight merman meet in prison, team up to break out, go on the run with some rebels, and try not to strangle each other.

If I'm being real, what I really wanted was to somehow magically post this thing on Livejournal in 2006*. I just wanna see people comment on it, basically. I guess that's what we all want, to be fair!
