The best gift I got for my birthday was a baby book. I never had one growing up and my mom decided to make up for lost time this year. I got to see tons of photos I've never seen before and this is probably one of my favorites. Well, it's here. I'm officially 30. What a wonderful day. It started last night by celebrating with @glitter_warrior, @amteer, and @stormandstress at Mangia. This morning I got to wake up beside my youthful husband @stetsonjenkins, and headed to work where I was greeted by my mom with breakfast. A tradition in our house. At work I was showered with happy birthdays and an awesome nerdy gift from @denae_hudson. My coworkers took me to lunch and we had a nice time laughing and enjoying each other's company. I got to spend some time with Stetson before heading to my parent's house for family birthday. We had a great meal of chicken Parmesan, salad, pasta, and my favorite apple pizza for dessert. My generous siblings showered me with gifts from my list and my mom gave me the most treasured gift I could have asked for ... A baby book she had made for me documenting my first years of life. I saw pictures I had never seen before and got to read things I didn't know about myself. It is something I will treasure forever. Thank you to all of my family and friends for making this such a memorable day, and for sticking with me through that darn list. It is finished. Thank you all for your encouragement, help, camaraderie, and patience as I journeyed through this year. I feel it was action-packed and I am ready to focus on a few important things. I will look back at being 29 with no regrets. To finish this list has felt like a great accomplishment and towards the end, an uphill climb at the end of a race. God has blessed me with a wonderful support group, and even if I don't know all of you super well, some of you even at all, having you along for this ride has kept me accountable and motivated, so, thank you. #thirty #thirtyto30 #1983 #birthday (at KEEP CLNY)
