whatever I'm out of here.
the first thing you'll learn about me is that I'm a funny guy
the second thing you'll learn about me is that I'm always in some kind of nightmarish torture hell dimension
both are valid approaches to the same problem
i donāt think these are even different approaches
Stumbling upon a new discovery
Comments left by Kentaro Miura (author of Berserk) on Young Animal Magazine when he was drawing Berserk and commentaries at the end of the book.
This has been shared before but it is well known that manga authors have brutal schedules they have to work under. So many have died before old age due to health issues.
To quote Junji Ito:
āSleep is very important. Everyone get enough sleep. Many manga artists die young and itās because they donāt sleep. Your best ideas will come to you when youāre sleeping. Please everyone get some sleep.ā
Remember Manga authors are human beings that deserve better work conditions in their industry.
RIP Master Miura.
Thank you for all the hard work.
It goes on without saying to everyone, specially HxH fans, to please respect mangakas when they go on hiatus. Their work and the manga industry is very tough and I dare say inhumane. Here are some shocking things Togashi wrote on the comics.
Same with Nana.
Bacillaria paxillifer, AKA the carpenterās rule diatom.Ā
This diatom is unique in that it can slide and retract relatively quickly using a mucilage layer. Theyāre fun to watch!
Exactly why they do this is so far unknown. My hypothesis is that they do this to dislodge clumps of sediment or organic detritus that have fallen on top of them. Since diatoms are photosynthetic, it would make sense to try and get rid of of stuff that blocks out the light.Ā
This is the most unearthly living thing Iāve ever seen in my life

Man: Whatās a matter girl, you had a little bit too much corn?
Pig: *very long disgruntled groan which rises in pitch*
Man: Is that a yeah?
Pig: *shorter groan*
Man: Okay.Ā Here I come, I gotta get the intoxicated pig⦠Look at this pigā¦
Pig: *quiet snort*
Man: Hey!
Pig: *snort*
Man: Are you messed up, girl?Ā Ā
Pig: *short snort*
Man: Never seen a damn pig⦠Look at that, that one hereās fine, that one there is fine, this one here is turned belly upĀ
Pig: *snort snort snort snort*
Man: Hey you
Pig: *snort*
Man: Whoa!Ā Whoa!Ā Shit!Ā [Unintelligible] HOWH!Ā Come here girl!Ā
Pig: *grunt grunt grunt*
Man: Holy hell, fuckā¦I didnāt mean to do that
āWhoa! Woah! Shit The Bed Almighty!ā Is my new favorite expletive
Pinonkey -> Donkeyata -> Fiestaur
Fiestaur, the Show Horse Pokemon. Its fiery passion spreads to those around it until the scene becomes a huge party. It has a warm heart and makes sure everyone is having fun. Shooting flames like fireworks as it dances is its specialty. Fire/Fairy
If itās not prying too much what made you go from working in the gaming industry to wanting to go into anatomy/dissection/vulture culture (I hope Iām using the right terms if not please forgive me!)
1. Have long held childhood interest in animals. Use drawing as coping mechanism for problems at home.Ā 2. Work in the game industry, specialize in creature design.Ā
3. Start wanting to learn more about animal anatomy so you can design better creatures.Ā
4. Draw live animals.
4. Draw dead animals so you can examine them more.Ā
5. Start dissecting dead animals to better understand them
get evicted for dissecting animals at home
6. Seeing the bones will allow me to better understand where muscles attach.Ā Get good at cleaning bones.Ā
7. Use dissected animals for reference while designing creatures.Ā They smell bad. Get good at preserving them.
8. Develop specimen hoarding problem.Ā Start selling boxes of random specimens found around apartment.Ā
9. Realize that the injuries and marks on the bodies of the animals mean something.
10. Recognize the resilience, courage of the experiences that marked their bodies.
and identify with never having had a voice to speak of what they endured
11. āSomeone should know what happened to you.... even if itās too late, even if it changes nothing, what happened was to you was real.ā
12. No one is interested in their stories because the photos are too graphic. Get good at photoshop.
13. Discover that presentation really matters. People are more interested in these stories if they are presented better. Applies this idea to specimens.Ā
14. Not that interested in creature design for games anymore. Wanders off because other work feels moreĀ meaningful.Ā
