the thing with riko is that like. i do believe that he has such a complicated relationship with reality and the truth and that things like love and abuse are so crossed over in his mind they’re indistinguishable. it’s not as easy as riko knowing himself enough to be able to seperate his public facade from his real self; he believes in the lies he tells the press just as much as he knows they’re lies. when he says/thinks things like i am the king, all of this is owed to me, he is simultaneously (vaugely) aware that he is just the second son and that kengo really doesn’t think of him at all but he also wholeheartedly believes he is the king at the same time. he knows he’s being used by his family but he cannot do anything about it or comprehend it so he doesn’t think about it. he is totally willing to do this. he believes kevin to be his brother more than jean does, but kevin is also everything else to him too. he loved kevin and he also loved hurting and terrorizing and scaring kevin and these don’t contradict each other to him because he doesn’t really even know what love is. his family is a nebulous thing that is both dead and alive and encompasses all he does but is also completely absent from his life.

I joined an outdoors club in college and it fucking sucked because all anyone wanted to do was get to the top of the mountain as quickly as possible and only stopped to drink water and eat trail mix. It was awful.

Not "What the fuck!".

It's "WTF!".

What was it in the raws. What was the equivalent of someone shouting "Double U Tee Eff!" for the English translation instead of literally just "what the fuck".
