Day 2

I’m on day 2 of my “diet.” I’m aiming to fast for 20 hours. I’m already learning so much.  It may sound weird, but fasting instead of just calorie restriction is rewiring my brain to not focus so much on food.  I would use it as a crutch.  It comforted me.  I have 3 amazing kids that I want to be more active for.  I can’t allow myself to fall back into those bad routines of just grabbing what’s readily available and try to actually make more of an effort to make better decisions about what I put into my mouth.

I know this is cliche but, today is the first day of the rest of my life.  I woke up on a positive note this morning. I’m set on losing this weight!  I’m currently following the 16/8 intermittent fasting diet which means from 8pm to Noon the following day, all I can consume is water.  From noon to 8pm, I can eat.  I also decided to squeeze in a quick workout (one that I picked from a 30-day challenge on pinterest)....I’m hoping by keeping this blog, it’ll keep me accountable and I’m more willing to stick with it.  Wish me luck!  My goal loss is:  70 lbs!!!
