Yesterday was hourly comic day! A few quick doodles to recap the day (which always seems to start with me struggling to wake up)
Happy New Year, everyone!
A little update on me and my projects for 2026, and experimenting with CSP for the first time~
I feel like I’ve regressed to an egg 🤪 but I’m still here 💪 Wishing a fruitful year of creativity for all of us!
Been playing a lot of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals time in my free time lately, and I LOVE this sleepy sheep tailor 🐑
Dance Party for One
Sometimes I forget how healing a solo dance party can be. This piece is inspired by my love of dancing, the backgrounds of shojo anime openings, and risographs
This is one of 5 illustrations available on my newly set up INPRNT store! You can get this illustration as a print or art card here
Making these first few designs for my store was so healing/fun. I can't wait to create more things again :)
Another Raccoon's Treasure
An homage to my hometown and risographs.
This is one of 5 illustrations available on my newly set up INPRNT store! You can get this illustration as a print or art card here
You Got This!
Inspired by one of my cats in the style of a motivational poster. He may have one braincell, but he's doing his best!
This is one of 5 illustrations available on my newly set up INPRNT store! You can get this illustration as a print or art card here
I'm Fine (and Cozy)
You can never have too many plushies, right? This is one of 5 illustrations available on my newly set up INPRNT store!
You can get this illustration as a print or art card here
Bee-sides in the Fieldside
Surprise! I set up an INPRNT shop! You can currently get this or 4 other illustrations as prints/art cards etc.

Hello, out there! I've abandoned my blog much longer than I anticipated (or wanted to), but not without reason! Over the last few years, I've been struggling with chronic migraines in addition to other health issues, and it has gotten to a point where even when I finally can get my mind to be willing to work, my body is not for days or sometimes weeks at a time.
These past couple of months have been one of these periods where I'm at war with my body. Despite the flexibility of self-employment, I've felt like my time and energy is just as--if not more--limited than when I worked full-time. It's objectively sad and frustrating! However, I think what has been vital for me in navigating my physical limitations is my mental framing: I can still play an active role in my well being; I can still do something.
So, while I've been publicly quiet and have taken a small break from working on my comic, I've used the time and energy I do have to take action in searching for ways to better my health/ seeking help from medical professionals, and trying out different lifestyle changes.
On the work-front, I've not only been beavering away at some other illustration commissions, but I've also been working on setting up a new means of passive income which I'm SO excited to share with you later this month!
I'm hoping these actions will help lower the barriers my health has created, and relieve some of the financial worries so I can go back to focusing on my comic; and right now, I'm feeling good (hopefully I don't jinx myself).
I'm not sharing all of this for sympathy, but rather in case it reaches someone in a similar situation. I don't think it's uncommon for people to experience a time in their lives where they feel like they can't do the things they want to or feel trapped. For those folks--from someone going through it too--there's always something that you can do. You make progress on digging yourself out of your rut no matter how small the spoon. Let's get out there together!
It's way too easy for me to spend a whole day sitting when I work from home most of the time.
I'm amazed, a bit embarrassed, but not surprised by how cute things like pikmin bloom have really been motivating to better my physical health
Silly pikmin dancing warmup + testing out some brushes
I got a haircut recently
Saying I love the Little Buddy present in We Love Katamari would be an understatement
It's frustrating how wildly my productivity changes day-to-day. I do have days where the connection between my mind and keyboard are like a coursing river; but there are some days where it's more like a clogged faucet. I can feel my mind struggle to keep focused, every word I write feels like it's in the wrong place, and I just want to sleep.
However, I think the most important thing I've learned through my own inconsistency in motivation/ability to write is just keep trying! Progress is progress (even if it's unfortunately small). The 20 words on a bad day are still worth something. Besides, it all adds up in the end!
With that being said, this month's update is that I feel like I'm about 75% done with the research and writing for my graphic medicine comic! This means that I'm that much closer to drawing (which is exciting since crafting the visuals is possibly my favourite part).
P.S. Also yes, I did slightly rebrand by changing my blog name
