Sometimes when I get really really sad I'll think to myself "I miss Sun and Moon" even though I never met them in real life— so I'll look at these comics of them and it'll make me feel a little better

for a while that was me with the sun and moon show back when they did let's plays, but now its all skits 😔

First of all, me everyday actually, i miss sun and moon. Second....duuude I used to be so obsessed with the sun and moon show, I did like the "lore" videos to some extent, but I specifically always looked forward to the gaming videos the most, it's a shame they don't do those anymore! They were so silly guuuh, and then they also retconned a bunch of characters and events, such as Sun saying he's not depressed and doesn't want to kill himself...despite there literally being several episodes that say otherwise, AND AN EPISODE where he says he wishes he was dead💀 but yeah okay whatever.... (oh and Eclipse too there was sooooo much potential there, and me and a few other huge fans did full deep dives on his personality, only for them to basically rewrite him, even if it wasn't the same Eclipse, it's still weird, bro has issues but sure make him a dad.)

The lore itself in general just got weirder and weirder too, I miss the simpler lore and ESPECIALLY again the gaming videos

YEA THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT cuz I only ever watch the let's plays, I tried to get into the skits but the pauses and talkovers from vr lag drove me crazy 😭 at least when they were playing games the reactions felt WAY more natural, the skits they're doing now just feels like they're just filling quota. And yea they were always a content farm so it's easier for them to make shit up everyday to post, they're prob a small team with other jobs on the side so they don't have the time or money to waste. So I'll give them that for being on the grind.... but at this moment the stuff they got just aint for me, I'll stick to the compilations people make

HUGE AGREE! The gaming videos were more authentic, and they genuinely had fun and broke character at times. I think with the skits before they did actually have a very loose script, and would improv some parts (it was said somewhere, probably discord, but i can't fact check that for the life of me, so uhhh take that with a grain of salt lol), but now they follow the script a lot more (that's more of a feeling from when I do peak in), they still have some fun, but it definitely feels like they're fulfilling a quota like you said, I mean it's been like 2-3 years now?!😭 They're really milking it out. The va's themselves manage their own channels, and do have other jobs, some of them don't and just use the show as their main income. The team is actually kind of small, but there are actually writers that usually say "trust the process" everytime someone has even the smallest criticism. Which speaking of criticism, they haaaate that (experienced that second hand). BUT lowkey to be fair, the writers are probably just trying to get their paycheck lmao and could care less, which valid.

ALSO THEY HAVE A VILLAIN OF THE MONTH FORMULA going on now. Which I guess they sort of had before?? But it had more relevance i guess??? Like the characters actually felt more connected to the characters before like Eclipse, Bloodmoon, Killcode...maybe Ruin but he kinda just showed up because he has to destroy other universes to...something, it wasn't very memorable (sorry Ruin fans, please enlighten me), and then there was Nexus/New Moon which I will say DID actually intrigue me, he was edgy in a silly corny way, but I did like that he was more connected, it made sense that he had a crashout. ACTUALLY THAT'S WHAT IT IS!! The antagonists were the way they were BECAUSE sun and/or moon specifically wronged them in some way, except for Bloodmoon, they had other issues. WHICH I'm still upset that they didn't resolve btw, and also the double standards some characters got (Bloodmoon could have actually had a redemption but then they just forgot about character development i guess, and that Bloodmoon WAS actually capable of reason and was honestly pretty chill as long as there was a literal blood moon, and they had blood to eat).

Now... Davis's girlfriend playing a character is true, she plays as Sun's sister Earth/Terra? (There were name changes that happened recently for some reason and I can't be bothered to see why tbh), and as Gemini, the Pollux (polux?) half, who was supposed to be in a relationship with Lunar/Cosmos (both exist apparently and are the same guy but not idk anymore) but they had it not workout. I don't think it was ever ever officially stated anywhere that it was jealousy reasons between the actual va's, but i can definitely see that being a legitimate reason (for now though, definitely a rumor that's potentially true), it's why Earth(Terra)/Monty is a thing to begin with.

Forgot to add...It really is better to stick to compilations lol you get to learn about random characters and some of the whimsy is still there :]
