Everyday I think, what if Vile/Vava was actually created to fight some specific war (Zero alludes to this), and when he was no longer needed, he became a Maverick hunter, but it was never as exciting to him, nothing was challenging anymore. I think he was programmed to handle things as efficiently as possible, which is why he probably gets frustrated as a Maverick Hunter having to think of citizens' safety. I also think he wants to fight everyone because it's what he does best, that's what he was programmed to do.

So then, about X. X basically took his purpose from him, in his eyes anyways. "Why is it always him?" What makes X so special? Why is HE the chosen one? That should be me.

I believe it's also mentioned somewhere (unless that's someone's headcanon?) that Vile/Vava was created before X. Which could be another reason why he has such an inferiority complex towards him.
