DAY 9 My prompt this week was "Pop", so I did a gumball. Used the opportunity to take some of the techniques I've been learning in class and applying it towards digital painting (which I know pretty much nothing about!)

Coincidentally, I got watercolor paint (not watercolor cakes). It was so much more fun, and user friendly

DAY 1 The start to my self imposed art challenge (make art every day for at least 30 days) didn't start off so well. Tired, under the weather, dealing with a tired and under the weather toddler...doesn't make for time or desire to do anything. BUT! I sat down for 15ish minutes and did some gesture drawing. AT LEAST I DID SOMETHING

Your review of Grayson #12 is the most spot on comic review I've read. Especially your thoughts on Red Hood. DC has no idea the potential Jason has. "Let's take our most interesting poster boy for angst, and stick him in a buddy comedy. BRILLIANT!"

I wasn’t reading comics during the resurrection of Jason Todd and didn’t start up again until The New 52 began so Under the Red Hood was the first time I’ve seen the character done right. It was a revelation to see him handled so perfectly. So much so that the mind boggles at how DC is wasting Todd’s potential. His comic book sells well right now when it’s shit. How can DC not see how much of a blockbuster it could be with a writer who cared about the character writing that book?
