You wanna know how I got Her to try anal?

As someone who doesn't feel very strongly either way, can I just say that not everybody takes their views to the absolute 100% extreme? Not ALL pro-lifers believe you have to carry the baby full-term regardless of the consequences of childbirth. Some believe in compromises and exceptions. At the same time, not ALL pro-choicers think abortions are just great and totally harmless. Do I like the idea of abortions? No, not necessarily, but I understand that there are circumstances in which an abortion is simply the best option. Sometimes it is a medical issue for the mother, and sometimes it is a rape scenario which is absolutely understandable, however, I don't like the idea of people getting abortions just because they can. I'm not gonna tell anyone they can't do it because I don't like it, but if the only thing keeping you from being the next Kate + 8 is an abortion clinic, can you really blame me for being a little judgemental? The only time I say an abortion is an absolute non-negotiable for me is when it comes to late-term abortions. I know not all pro-choicers believe in late-term abortions but I know that at least some of them think it's totally okay to abort a baby right up until their delivery date, and that's a problem. My best friend was born 3 months prematurely and while there were slight complications, she turned out just fine. If you've made it six months into a pregnancy and suddenly decide you don't want the baby, and instead of giving it the chance to live and at least putting it up for adoption, you have it killed, you are a fucked up individual. Again, I may understand cases in which the mother will be put in harm's way to deliver the baby, but even in a rape case, I see no excuse to let it get that far before you decide to do something about it. At six months, that is pretty much a fully functional baby. If you'd rather kill the baby than give it a proper chance at life, there is something wrong with your mentality. I'm not here to tell people how to live their lives or what to do with their bodies, but can people at least acknowledge that not everything has to be black and white? There is a grey area and there is room for conversation and compromise. Abortion is not black or white, good or bad. It can be a necessary evil in some cases, but in other cases it can be misused and abused. It shouldn't be treated as simply another form of contraceptive. There are many ways to avoid getting pregnant and the list grows as time moves on. Not only is it seen as immoral to use abortions as a form of contraceptive, it does pose serious health risks to the would-be mother. It can cause infections, hormonal imbalances, and it is absolutely possible to die from an abortion. It's not something to be taken lightly. However, if someone is aware of the risks and chooses to do it anyway, who am I to stop them? It's not my body.

I just feel like it should be noted that she navigated her way across the Underground Railroad (through thicket and swamp and forest and every risk of wildlife you could imagine) with her own knowledge of the natural world. Informative Ancient Egypt Comics: BROS

Our 1st place contest winner requested a Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep comic as their prize.

I took a class about Ancient Egypt last semester and we had a whole lecture dedicated to talking about how gay Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep were. Their tomb walls were decorated with scenes of them ignoring their wives in favor of embracing each other. In one scene, the couple is seated at a banquet table that is usually reserved for a husband and wife. There’s an entire motif of Khnumhotep holding lotus flowers which in ancient Egyptian tradition symbolizes femininity. Khnumhotep offers the lotus flower to Niankhkhnum, something that only wives were ever depicted as doing for their husbands. In fact, Khnumhotep is repeatedly depicted as uniquely feminine, being shown smaller and shorter than his partner Niankhkhnum and being placed in the role of a woman. Size is a big deal in Egyptian art, husbands are almost always shown as being larger and taller than their wives. So for two men of equal status to be shown in once again, a marital fashion, is pretty telling. Not to mention they were literally buried together which is the strongest bond two people could share in ancient Egypt, as it would mean sharing the journey to the afterlife together. And yet 90% of the academic text about these two talks about these clues in vague terms and analyze the great “brotherhood” they shared, and the enigma of Khnumhotep being depicted as feminine. Apparently it’s too hard for archaeologists to accept homosexuality in the ancient world, as well as the possibility of trans individuals.

On the last note, I was walking around the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and there is a mummy on exhibit. It caught my attention because the panel that was describing it was talking about how it was a woman’s body in a male coffin and wow, the Egyptian working that day really screwed that up. My summary, not actual words, sorry I can’t remember verbatim but it basically said that someone screwed up.

They claimed that the Egyptians screwed up a burial.

Now I’m not an expert in Ancient Egypt but from what I know, and what the exhibit was telling me, burials and the afterlife and all that jazz DEFINED the Egyptian religion and culture. They don’t just ‘screw up’. Our 1st place contest winner requested a Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep comic as their prize.

I took a class about Ancient Egypt last semester and we had a whole lecture dedicated to talking about how gay Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep were. Their tomb walls were decorated with scenes of them ignoring their wives in favor of embracing each other. In one scene, the couple is seated at a banquet table that is usually reserved for a husband and wife. There’s an entire motif of Khnumhotep holding lotus flowers which in ancient Egyptian tradition symbolizes femininity. Khnumhotep offers the lotus flower to Niankhkhnum, something that only wives were ever depicted as doing for their husbands. In fact, Khnumhotep is repeatedly depicted as uniquely feminine, being shown smaller and shorter than his partner Niankhkhnum and being placed in the role of a woman. Size is a big deal in Egyptian art, husbands are almost always shown as being larger and taller than their wives. So for two men of equal status to be shown in once again, a marital fashion, is pretty telling. Not to mention they were literally buried together which is the strongest bond two people could share in ancient Egypt, as it would mean sharing the journey to the afterlife together. And yet 90% of the academic text about these two talks about these clues in vague terms and analyze the great “brotherhood” they shared, and the enigma of Khnumhotep being depicted as feminine. Apparently it’s too hard for archaeologists to accept homosexuality in the ancient world, as well as the possibility of trans individuals.

On the last note, I was walking around the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and there is a mummy on exhibit. It caught my attention because the panel that was describing it was talking about how it was a woman’s body in a male coffin and wow, the Egyptian working that day really screwed that up. My summary, not actual words, sorry I can’t remember verbatim but it basically said that someone screwed up.

Now I’m not an expert in Ancient Egypt but from what I know, and what the exhibit was telling me, burials and the afterlife and all that jazz DEFINED the Egyptian religion and culture. They don’t just ‘screw up’. We absolutely should be hiring people based on qualifications rather than gender, and I don't think we should necessarily be striving for 50/50. If the scales happen to tip one way or another based on their qualifications, that's just the way it is, but if 50/50 just happens to be the best decision, that's great too. Gender doesn't need to be a deciding factor. What actually matters is work ethic and quality, not labels and genitals. This is not to say I'm not proud of what they've done here. I'm glad to see women being given a chance to prove that gender doesn't make us inherently inferior to men. I just think striving for absolute 100% equality is a bit much. Maybe there were more qualified men? Or maybe there are still women more qualified than the men that were hired to maintain that 50/50 divide. And now what happens when someone quits or is fired? You go out looking for specifically that gender just to maintain your "diversity"? What if a nonbinary or genderfluid person wants the job? What happens to your precious percentages then?

This guy inspired me to repair my own macbook. First of all, you should know that I am not… like, I have to look up HOW to look up what my computer specifications are. Tech, that ware either soft or hard, is not a subject in which I experience comfort or competence. But my puppy peed on my keyboard, and I asked the apple store, or the fucking mac cafe, or the godsdamn Computer House Chill Zone or whatever cute ass name they have for their bullshit store, and they said it would be TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPLACE MY KEYBOARD. I’m not even exaggerating.

So I asked the internet, well how hard IS it to repair? And I saw this guy’s video, and while I am no techie, I AM fueled by spite, so I was all “oh, they do that shit on purpose specifically so they can charge me $1200 bucks or make me buy a new computer hunh? FUCK THEM” and I bought all the tools I needed for about $25 and I bought all the parts I needed for about another $25 and I watched a few tutorial videos, and I replaced my own keyboard.

So, once you are doing the actual deed, it becomes pretty obvious that they are finding creative ways to make this much harder than it has to be on purpose. On thing that stood out to me is, instead of all the tiny screws being the same size, there are about two dozen very slightly different sizes. They could easily be all the same size, or like, two sizes at most, but no.

These mother fuckers will take a panel that screws into place and they’ll use a different size screw for each corner. They are so close that you almost cannot tell them apart visually, but they each will only screw into the matching corner. Like, it’s a pretty clear “fuck you” to anyone trying to do repairs.
