Can I just freak out about this moment for a second?

I just cannot stop thinking about this. Everything here just screams friendship and love and comfort in being with each other. Like the way Jakob comes over and sits down with Kevin. Like he puts his arm around him and looks at him the entire time he says his lines. How Axel looks at Kevin the whole time and keeps his hand on his shoulder. How Kevin slowly starts smiling at the end when Fabbo leaves and Kevin comes back. How Kevin and Axel share a quick look at the end, silently communicating, and Axel pats his back a few times.

I don’t know why but this moment really stuck with me. I just find it so wholesome.

really breaks my heart reading Marvin’s notebook at the RPD. you can feel how eager they were to make rookie Leon feel welcomed. they bought soda in case he doesn’t drink alcohol, decorated the banner with stars, and they even got him a gift from Kendo’s shop.

it’s a bittersweet feeling to hear Leon say “hey, Lieutenant Branagh. Kennedy… reporting for duty.”—knowing he was meant to speak those very same words 28 years ago, with hope instead of weight behind them. he was supposed to join them, work with them, laugh with them—

but now, only silent ghosts of the past remain. another ‘what-if’ gnaws again.

it’s an insult for Zeno/Victor to use that welcome banner to mock Leon once he went inside the RPD. that was something that’s made with care & love. along with the note ‘you can’t save anyone’… they really want to poke at his wounds, huh? vile.

and yet, Leon moves forward, just like he always does.
