“Remember that time Jason Voorhees killed… Jason Voorhees? 🔪 In the 2006 Avatar Press comic Jason vs. Jason X, classic swamp-rotted Jason threw down with his cybernetic future self. Horror’s ultimate mirror match—and the machete still won.”
The witching hour has passed, yet night creatures remain awake. What's keeping you scrolling? The eerie allure of the unknown or FOMO's haunting grip? You're not alone. Monsters among us crave connection.
Monster fans, sharpen your claws — we’ve got a first look at one of the most unexpected artistic turns yet for Memoirs of a Monster Society! Series co-creator Ray just dropped this chilling sneak peek from the opening story, and the contrast to the book’s other, more serious horror segments is nothing short of electric.
Drawn digitally (though Ray teases he may jump back to traditional for speed), this piece explodes with raw, kinetic energy — a style we’re dubbing “Gutterline Horror” for its sketchy, fever-dream linework and haunted-storybook vibe. It’s a wild, textured counterpunch to the anthology’s heavier, more polished horror sequences, and it’s exactly the kind of variety that makes Monster Society such a beast to blend together.
Ray says that balancing multiple artists and styles has been one of the biggest challenges of the project — but this piece proves the payoff is going to be monstrous.
In 1935, NYC firefighters pulled a live 7-foot alligator from a sewer. Locals claimed abandoned pets adapted underground—growing larger, blind, and more aggressive in the darkness.
Body: In February 1935, a group of New York City firefighters made a discovery straight out of an urban legend—they dragged a thrashing, 7-foot alligator out of a snow-covered sewer drain.
Some say it was just a freak accident. Others swear it was proof of a hidden population of sewer gators—pets flushed or abandoned, adapting to life in the dark. Over time, the story grew teeth: gators evolving underground, going blind, but growing even larger… and hungrier.
Officially, there’s no record of colonies in NYC’s underbelly. Unofficially? Some say they never left. They just got better at hiding.
What do you think—pure urban myth, or is New York hiding more than just rats in the dark?
🕵️♂️ 1966 – The Lead Masks Mystery
On a hillside in Brazil, two men were found dead… Both wore strange lead masks over their eyes. No signs of a struggle. No cause of death. Beside them? A notebook with chilling instructions:
"16:30 be at the agreed place. 18:30 ingest capsules after the effect protect metals wait for mask signal."
Were they part of a secret experiment? Victims of a bizarre ritual? Or something even stranger? No one knows. And maybe… no one ever will.
She Checked Into the Clown Motel Alone… But Something Was Already Waiting Inside
Of course, there are skeptics. They’ll tell you that this is just a clever theme for a roadside attraction, a gimmick designed to get attention. And they’re not wrong—this place does attract paranormal investigators, horror vloggers, and curious thrill-seekers from all over the world.
But here’s the thing: not everyone makes it through the night. At least not without checking out early—or checking out changed.
She doesn’t bite first—she waits until you lean closer. By then, her necklace’s glow is the last thing you’ll ever see.

🎥 Memoirs of a Monster Society Presents: True Horror — The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
POST TEXT (Fact vs. Fiction): 🔪 The Horror Movie: In 1974, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre terrified audiences with the brutal tale of Leatherface and his cannibalistic family. Many believed it was a direct retelling of a real massacre deep in rural Texas.
🧠 The Truth: While The Texas Chainsaw Massacre claimed to be "based on true events," the film is only loosely inspired by real-life murderer Ed Gein — a Wisconsin man (not Texan) who robbed graves and made macabre trophies from human skin. There was no chainsaw-wielding family, no rural bloodbath — just a chilling figure who influenced many horror villains, including Leatherface, Norman Bates (Psycho), and Buffalo Bill (The Silence of the Lambs).
⚡ FACT CHECK:
No chainsaw murders ever linked to Ed Gein
Gein acted alone — not with a crazed family
Director Tobe Hooper used the "true story" label to make the film even scarier
