you are so numb that you’ve almost forgotten how it feels to be touched gently, lovingly. with so much adoration that you can almost melt. but you go to the hairdresser and you almost burst out crying right there when they wash your hair, massaging your scalp with such care you get a taste of what you’ve been missing. you realise that you’ve been living in a constant standby and you didn’t even notice it.
