After hours upon hours of listening to bootlegs I’ve come to a realization. During the saddest moments of a musical suddenly everyone needs to cough. There’s an abundance of coughs. I always got offended, like you were quiet throughout the whole show Diane, but NOW you need to cough. Then I realized it’s audience members crying, probably choking on their sobs.

No for real though. Go listen to a bootleg, go to the saddest moments and if you don’t hear a cough I’ll give you a random playbill.
