i had a dream a few weeks ago that the singer for radiohead had a secret clone who looked like a foil dollarstore balloon or one of those weird pillows people get of their cats. and the clone would be brought along to radiohead concerts as a special guest and while the band played he just stood around on the stage or jumped up and down over and over... and the other day i wanted to try making him in blender but i dont know how to use blender very well. so i was sculpting, and i tried to remesh him with the.. remesh..... slider thingamajig and fiddled around a little.. i ended up mindlessly dragging it all the way to the left (left is more edges) and uh oh! blender froze! i mustve gave this guy like... 40million vertices. not good! so i tried alt f4 and tried opening task manager but nothing was happening then uh oh! computer froze! so i sat there for like ~3 minutes staring at my lousy ass model while my computer was boutta blow up cause the fans were going crazy and i couldnt do nothing... then blender finally died, thank god but i had to restart my computer because uh oh! blender freaked my computer out so bad my desktop wallpaper had vanished. came back agfter restart though. so i uninstalled blender and i have been too scared to use it since
I never really considered that a rabbit would care for a scarab one way or the other. Didn't think a rabbit could formulate an opinion on the scarab at all
i had an art school assignment earlier this month where i had to make a response to a photograph, and the response could be anything my heart desired as long as i make something - an artwork, written work, what ever. and one of the photographs we could respond to was "the destroyed room" by jeff wall, and i thought hmm well how did that room get destroyed? so i made a wretched creature that destroyed the room from the photograph "the destroyed room" by jeff wall.
explanation of each element:
0: ostensibly kind face - he has a kind face so that you will trust him enough to let him inside. a terrible mistake, for if you look into his eyes, all you see is darkness...
1: crowbar - crowbar from half life 2, for breaking down the door, and pulling chunks out the walls
2: hammer - also for breaking down the door
3: regular paws - for opening the drawers of the dresser
4: cool dragon claws - for making the big gash in the mattress. the claws are very cool
5: rage - these hands hold all of his rage. they are for flipping the table and chair and other furniture in the room
6: wallpaper scraper - for ripping into the walls
7: sledgehammer - for smashing the chair and window
8: washing machine - see all the clothes and trinkets scattered on the floor? he put them in the washing machine, turned it on, then opened it and let everything fly out onto the floor. i didnt see any power outlets in the room, so i put a power outlet on the creature so the washing machine could run. his tail is very powerful so he can carry it
he is also lowered from the ceiling via rope, and his arms can stretch like jake from adventure time so he can reach everything from any distance. my thoguht is that he is able to, in one moment, immediately destroy this room, kinda like a bomb but very cute and also personalised to this room....
i have brought something terrible into this world. i love him and i hope you love him too
Apparently, for years, the identity of this caterpillar has been a mystery. We may be very close to solving the mystery!
People have seen this large gorgeous caterpillar for ages, but have never been able to figure out what it grows/metamorphoses into... what species is it?
Entomologist Gwen Erdosh (Gwentomologist), currently the Volunteer Coordinator at the Manu Biological Station in Madre de Dios, Peru, has collected one, determined its host plant, and got it to pupate!
Luckily, I got to meet the larva before it pupated, and snap a few photos.
Hopefully, we will know soon, and the mystery will be solved!
