A warcraft-centered blog dedicated to my in-game characters. A place to collect my writing, art, inpiration, screencaps, and basically anything else I feel bad spamming my personal blog with. Not a roleplay blog. Main: Meridiana, human beast mastery hunter. I play Alliance on the Duskwood/Bloodhoof server primarily, and Horde on Turalyon.
I started with my player housing, and as I built the boys' room, (also known as Keleion's Harem Room) I got a nice little play-by-play of every spot that's NOT safe to sit on and why (it's all of them. ALL OF THEM) and had the very explicit direct thought of "do not ask what we do on that altar :)"
Relanthis, despite being a misanthrope and aro/ace, still lives there, because Kel lives there, and Kel is 100% acception for him, 100% of the time. I have my suspicions that he'll take to Drel'kazarn before long. They're still just getting to know each other though, and Drel is all about respecting boundaries.
I am having so much fun with warbands feature, and of course grouped almost all of my toons the other evening. Lore dump INCOMING and also some fun personality tidbits.
In our first grouping we have the group that is essentially the main hub/trunk of my personal WoW toon canon, and holds everyone else together. And also the mains I tend to cycle through each Xpack. They are also the tightest knit group amongst each other, and tend to adventure together. Meri & Nic have been connected in my head the longest, friends since day one. In their timeline, they first meet around the end of Wrath/just before the death of Arthas (when Meri first started adventuring). Lereith was the next to be a main feature, joining Meri & Nic during WoD (they met during the opening scenario). Cesaelia ofc is a Legion addition, and is part of Meri's polycule with Lilit, and the sister of Keleion who is besties with Nicolet (they met during Death Knight days). Because they adventure together often, they are all very close, and often exchange correspondence when not together. Though if you had to ask, no one can actually tell you how or why Lereith became a beloved part of the group, but she just tends to randomly decide she likes people and no one questions it. She and Cesaelia didn't actually interact a ton, but Lereith absolutely sends her letters like she does Nic & Meri (and Cesaelia cherishes them because how can you not)
When it comes to the main Alliance crew, these four tend to be the secondary part of the group, most commonly meeting with Meri, Nic, or Lereith. Lori is Lereith's friend and girl friend, and had known Meri as an acquaintance prior to that. Lilit, similarly, is the other part of Meri's polycule, but there has been some distance when she kind of fucked off to feel feelings a bit after the end of Legion. Technically Solik was first connected to Meri very loosely (at the BEGINNING of Legion), but has since maintained relations with the group for the sole purpose of trying to convince Nicolet and Lilit that they are, in fact, going too far in their unrighteous methods, and why would they have ever turned to Fel magic and Blood Death Knight-ism???? (Also she admires Meri.) This is extremely funny to Lilit, who spends all of her time scandalizing Solik with tales of her less than savory dealings. Which brings in Ilcynna, the Old as Fuck Lightforged who has seen some shit and doesn't really care about methods when you're working for the same goal. Ilcynna has a fondness for Solik as much as she enjoys watching Lilit cause her great scandal, and has stayed for the free entertainment. (Solik has yet to understand that they are in fact joking with her half the time, but it is all in good fun)
Honorary shoutout of course goes to Keleion, who would be part of the Main Crew if there could be 5 toons, but who also insisted on being with his Harem of Men. (Or, the only 4 toons with male framed bodies in my arsenal.) Keleion, as mentioned above, is Nic's friend from their Death Knight days, is Cesaelia's older brother, and is Meri's bestest arch Frenemy. (They have ALSO known each other since Meri met Nic, when Meri was a lot more.... against the Horde.) Relanthis is Kel's reclusive childhood friend slash boyfriend(?) slash don't ask they're not explaining. Rel does not like many other people that are not Kel. Kel met Drel'kazarn (Drel) and... immediately slept with him, and they've been fuckbuddies ever since. Since Kel collects just about any man who will sleep with other men, he also picked up Xitalazin somewhere along the way, and has recruited him to the crew. Xitalazin is shy and not a fuckbuddy.... yet.
When I get screencaps the rest of the groupings, I'll chat about the other branches of the web. For now these are kind of the main 3 jumping off points I work with when plotting out relationships. (I say, like they don't periodically just tell me shit about themselves I should have known. They are wild like that.)
Not to resurrect this blog after 6 years for unhinged lore, but the entirety of Undermined patch so far has been Lereith being like "oh so THIS is what your Goblin friend is like, I Get It" to Cesaelia re: Vrizza, and they are lucky there aren't phones because it would be constant texts of Lereith just suddenly understanding things.
And if you're saying to yourself, "Becca, hasn't Lereith been adventuring since WoD, and is a good couple thousand years old AND the daughter of a trader, wouldn't she have more experience with these things?" Yeah that's putting a lot of faith when she... didn't care for most of that time.
I love my girl, but she is also a bookworm and hung out in the library 99% of the time or was too busy being a chaos murderer to pay attention to actual... social things....
Finally cross-posting my bases for @warcraftdolls (posted first to Twitter). From left to right we have Ainsel (Balance druid), Lereith (Shadow Priest), and Meridiana (beast mastery hunter). Originally it was just going to be Ainsel, but Lereith wanted to be included, and then Meri had to be thrown in. Honestly teir three personalities are so different, it works out.
Meri, and all her outfits! Civilian, off-duty, and full travel/battle gear. Minus the weapon bc quite frankly I’m lazy lmao. The top is from Sunwell Plateau and is still my favorite piece of gear I own. Her transmog has used it since transmog started, however many years ago.
This is long overdue, the warcraft dolls tag really inspired me to finally get off my bum and do stuff.
((Staring out at the ocean gave me inspiration, and it felt fitting to deal with Meri, and how she’s been handling the changes in the Alliance and with her crew. BfA has been a ride for everyone tbh. I am slowly working on finishing up some other drabbles so I can post more of everyone’s actual story.))
——-
The smell of salt in the air and the breeze that constantly blows strands of red hair past her eyes is almost nostalgic, reminding her of a time not so long ago - and yet it feels like a lifetime - approaching another distant and long-avoided shore. The air of Kul’Tiras lacks the chill of Northrend, and the mission is far different this time, but the unknown remains the same.
Leaning against the rails of the Lady Proudmoore’s ship, Meri almost feels as young and uncertain as she did all those years ago, on her first journey across the sea. She has seen much since then - fought countless battles and faced threats beyond comprehension - but experience has not softened the blow of loss, and has not prepared her for the mission she finds herself on now.
Memories of Teldrassil, the immense loss of life, still haunt her. The tree as it burned, trying to save the few she can, lingers in her mind beyond anything she’s faced. None of them have escaped the horror. Not even Lereith, locking herself away and throwing herself into battle in a way she never has before.
It feels odd not to have Nicolet by her side. Back in Stormwind, the Death Knight had personal matters to attend to. She misses that calming presence now more than ever.
She worries over Lilit, wondering where in the world she has found herself now. Was it right to let her leave? Was there truly nothing she could have done? She knows there was not - grief had to be felt alone, and she has to hope one day Lilit will return in one piece. Cesaelia, too, if they make it out of this. It has been some time since she’s heard from her, but Keleion has sent word when he can. It is not safe to be that close to Sylvanas and have contact with the Alliance. It comforts her that at least he is safe for now, though she would never tell him as such.
So much has changed, and uncertainty looms as Boralus Harbor comes into view. She does not know what they’ll find here, or what path the factions will follow. The world itself is in flux, reeling from a blow by a God, threatening the very source of life. Only time will tell if they can bring salvation, or if they’ll only find ruin.
Fingers going to the Heart of Azeroth chained to her neck, there is one thing she knows: she is an adventurer. A hero. A champion of Azeroth. And her path with always lead to one goal: doing what she can to help. For Azeroth.
Character height chart, finally (mostly) done! Minus a few, but they haven’t been set in stone yet. There are 19 characters here and I think I’ve gone insane staring at this but it’s finally done!!!! I’m really proud of how I’ve tried to vary body types with the characters, and picking idle poses that still somewhat reflected character personalities.
There will always be more added to the chart, and there are at least 5-6 that will be added later, but for now it is complete, and I am very happy with it! And I don’t want to look at it for another week at least after doing 19 characters in 36 hours, hahaha
Lereith’s reaction to Teldrassil, and the loss of her family. Technically in her lore she’s not actually there to witness the event or save anyone (for maximum suffering) but I really wanted to do this. This whole thing has really set off her growth in ways I never expected of her, and I’m a proud momma.
Otherwise, this was just fun for playing with light and shadow, and the best excuse to use the smoke brushes I never get a chance to use. I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
This was technically supposed to be for pridecraft 80000000 years ago but I didn’t finish in time. I still wanted to finish it anyway because I love my Horde boys. Even if they are the only two among like 20-something girls. I still love them, ok. Keleion is the blood elf and Drelkazarn is my troll.
Both Drel and Kel are bros, they like to chill out and probably smoke some kind of weed and drink beer, and engage in some “free love.” Kel is bisexual and aromantic, while Drel is pansexual and panromantic, and probably polyamorous. And yes they have definitely had sex on multiple occasions. In case you were wondering.
Fun fact, I actually made Drel wayyyyy back in the beginning when I still hated Warlocks in pvp, and I made him a warlock. I deleted that toon and made him a monk, but fanfic of him and my friend’s character is still on my ffn account.
Pridecraft part 3, a month late because life happened ok THINGS HAPPEN. But I wasn’t gonna let that stop me from sharing more lesbian content because these two. These two are amazing together. I know I already did a piece with Cesaelia and her girlfriends but she needed one with her girl friend, fellow femme Vrizza.
They like to have sleepovers and paint their nails and talk about cute girls, as you do. Vrizza also has a side business, among many, of developing sex toys for female bodies. And she often gives them to Cesaelia to test them out. She’s careful to make sure there’s only one explosion happening, and it’s not gonna be her product, eyyyyyy //shot/
Terrible jokes aside, I am determined to finish all my planned pridecraft pieces, because it is pride month somewhere. Also because I want to. So. Enjoy~
((I was taking farewell screenshots of Darnassus on my night elf and worgen characters, and I had feelings. I figured it was about time I actually posted some of my writing. And for some reason Lereith’s turned into a poem, I think because I listened to Jaina’s warbringers short about 800000 times today and it’s just been stuck in my head. I love me a sea shanty, you know.))
—- Nicolet ——
She remembers the streets well, though they do not remember her. Those that do shun her. She cannot blame them - that is the nature of the living. She returns to them once, and only once. She does not seek anyone out, remaining hidden under her cloak, but the residents still avoid her. They are as afraid as they always were, of anything different. It is their nature, she supposes.
She died for these streets. For this city. For her home. Standing in the courtyard, she can see new sentinels training, sharpening their blades against target dummies as their superiors watch on, instructing them when they fail. She was once one of them. She doesn’t know if the girls under her command yet lived or died, but a part of her hopes they were at least granted a death, if nothing else. The peace of the grave is beyond her soul now.
She turns her back on them, on the terrace and the land she once called home, stealing through the streets and back towards the shore. She has seen what was once her home, and she knows it is no longer her own.
Nicolet leaves the vibrant, living marvel that is Teldrassil behind to return to the chill of Northrend, the land the dead now call Home.
---- Lilit ——
She turned her back on the city long ago. Though perhaps it is more accurate to say they turned their backs on her, as well. She left them to find Illidan, to find revenge, to seek a life of action beyond their passive desire to just hope things will be better next time.
She lost her family and her home when the Burning Legion came again, and she lost her people the day she made her way to Outland. She doesn’t hold any silly notion of belonging to them anymore, even when the Alliance welcomes them in. She doesn’t miss the looks she gets on the streets, or from her former countrymen when she passes them in the world.
Lilit doesn’t belong to them anymore, and they’d as soon see her banished before they let her in again. But she has a new family, and a new home, and that is all she needs.
---- Ainsel ——
The city isn’t her home, but the tree itself is. She grew up in its branches and boughs, gently nurturing and caring for each and every living thing that most needed her help. She misses that quiet life, sometimes, more than content to have kept her abilities a secret and live amongst her family and friends forever. But she was needed elsewhere, and she couldn’t turn it down when her people called.
She does not regret the choice, now. She misses her home, but the world needed her abilities more, and she knows she has done good not just for her family, but for the whole of the world. And ultimately, she knows now where her priorities have to lie. She must care for the ones who need her most.
Ainsel knows it’s what her family would have wanted. They always said the world needed her more.
—— Lorilinora ——-
The city was their second home. So graciously taken in by the night elves after they lost everything, it was the city that gave her refuge as the world fell apart around her.
Jaquellen didn’t stay as long as she wanted, offering herself to guard Stormwind, all the way across the sea. She cane back when she could, but month would go by with the two of them alone in the trees. Ciannait, ever the adventurer, and much angrier about what happened than her elder sisters, left as soon as she was able, only 14 and off to battle. Everything lost, yet still within view enough for her to miss what could be.
The highborne became her new family. The magic shed already learned, and the magic they could offer, were wonders. They were her solace against all else, the comfort of a good book in the comfort of the grass and the trees, perfect for a run when the energy and the rage built up too much inside.
Gilneas was gone. What remained of her family - no longer human but half beast - had scattered to the winds. But Darnassus became her home. And Lorilinora wasn’t ready to watch her home burn again.
Contributing to Faebelina’s moonstone challenge/tag/event/thing on Twitter, I had to design something for Lereith. The necklace was given to her by her parents a long time ago, back when she was first accepted into the Sisters of Elune like her mother. The stone and the metal itself her father traded and had crafted, and her mother blessed the necklace with the light of Elune herself, the necklace as precious as their only daughter. When Lereith abandoned the sisterhood to study shadow, the necklace was packed away, left ignored in the bags she took with her (but never forgotten.)
After the events of Teldrassil, the loss of her childhood home of Darnassus, and the death of her parents, Lereith hasn’t taken the pendant off again. She has found a renewed meaning in the piece, though perhaps not the original intent of the Light. It serves as a charm to her now, a reminder of people she always cared about, despite her aloof attitude.
The pre-BfA events have hit her harder than any of us expected, and she’s not sure how to feel about all of it. She turned her back on them, and they saw her as a weirdo, but it was always her home. She’ll miss strolling among the gardens, reading her forbidden books in the peace the trees and the nighttime offered her.
Pridecraft round 2, Nicolet/Nic, my night elf death knight. Nic is Asexual, Aromantic, and, as she/they recently informed me, Agender. //insert terrible triple-a joke here/
Since Nic is biologically female and took on a few female roles in night elf society (in life Nic was a sentinel), she/her and they/them are both acceptable pronouns. What is preferred hasn’t been decided quite yet, but Nic is a chill character about that kind of thing.
Fun fact, Nic and Meri (from my last pridecraft) are both my oldest characters, and the closest friends, and have been inseparable since Cata (lore-wise late wrath) when I first started and first made them. They adventure together every expansion.
A combination entry for PrideCraft and the WarcraftBall on Twitter. I had this sketched out, then Cesaelia insisted she wanted to dress up, and she was taking her girls with her. So. This happened.
To start, these three are in fact in a poly relationship. Cesaelia on the left and Meri (in the middle) are both hella lesbian. Lilit (right) is pansexual and open to a lot. Meri was my first character and from the start was pretty much only into women, and has kept that up to this day. She and Lilit are both kind of butch, Cesaelia has claimed the spot of their princess femme and doesn’t have any intention of sharing that position.
More characters will be coming throughout the month, but I had to start with these three.
I’ve been wanting to do this tribute for over a year, ever since I saw this post on Faebelina’s blog. I’ve always thought Ainsel and Faeb would get along, since they both started their druid training late in life. Ainsel technically had her powers earlier, but was never formally trained until much older. I wanted to directly reference and tribute that drawing of Faeb’s here, because honestly I still think about it to this day.
I’ve also seen some commentary recently that night elves should only be skinny, and that seemed like double motivation to finally do this. I think I could do more with Ainsel’s weight, but I think this was still a good learning experience. I’m still learning and trying to break old habits.
Credit for the character of Faeb, the outfits, and the pose go to @faebelina, I’m just a lowly bean offering tribute to an inspirational artist.
