Hi Xitsen, I have two questions about your last post (well, actually one of them isn't a question about the BHTF AU).
1- What was the substance dripping from Sun and Moon's eyes? Was it blood, saliva, something else the robots carry, or something related to the AU's lore and Sun and Moon's transformation into vampires?
2- (You don't have to answer this if you don't know or don't want to) Do you have any advice on how to improve my drawing of fangs, creating a tense atmosphere, and everything related to horror and what you drew in your last post?

2. Honestly, your best bet is to heavily use references. Think about what feeling you want to evoke when creating something ↓
Think about the thought process of the characters. Who's the main focus? Whose feelings are we meant to relate to? Do you want them to feel trapped? Isolated? Alone? Etc etc. Look at how other people do it.
As an example, for this comic I've struggled to come up with a way to keep Moon menacing and Doctor scared/tense while Moon collapsed onto them. My first few attempts looked kinda goofy and comedic almost. Changing up the staging, lighting, shot and camera angle can do lots of good for what you're trying to achieve.
I kinda just looked over things I admire for doing these things and doing them good, like Promised Neverland for example. Its artists are super good at creating tension/horror so paying attention as to what exactly created that tension in question will help a lot.
How are the characters positioned and why? Where's the line of the horizon? How does the artist utilise shadows/light/texture? Are there any power dynamics in play between the characters? Do you want the staging to reflect that? Treating the "camera" as another "character" might help as well, shove it in characters' faces, show us the proximity, don't let it just third wheel from somewhere far away.
If you're looking for specific things as I've listed here, I recommend reading on Five C's of Cinematography as a starting point. They talk about alll the stuff when it comes to establishing characters/atmosphere through camera work and those rules are heavily applicable to all visual art.
Basically just keep questioning "how do other people do the thing that I want to do and why are they doing it this specific way"! Reflecting on other's art is great! Don't hyperfocus on a singular person/media though, as you might just inherit their mistakes too lol. Hope this helps a bit!!

(the only reason I didn't show their username in the screenshot is because, given how self victimizing they sound in their reblog, I believe that, if I did show their username, suddenly online stuff wouldn't seem so inconsequential to them and they'd accuse me of sending harrassment their way and putting them in danger)
You said it better than I could. Of all the inane and ridiculous things I've seen in my notes because of this post, "I NEED to say fuck you to strangers or I will literally die" is certainly one of them
Finally finished working on this and so so happy to be done.
