there is this one squeaky floorboard in their room that ed and stede have been talking about getting fixed since they put their room together, but it still squeaks to this day and ed knows wxactly how to avoid it so he doesn't wake up stede because he is usually out of bed before him and what he doesn't know is that stede is usually pretending to sleep because he finds the strange dance ed does around their room too adorable, and also because sometimes he fails and steps on the floorboard and he curses under his breath in case stede is still asleep after all that creaking and that's pretty cute too
