I want to rewatch MIB, but I realized one thing: they’re the bad guys.

First and foremost, they’re basically a classier, fancier ICE, and that sucks.

But worst of all, they’re agents of stasis.

They hoard all the aliens' goodies for themselves, or release them at a glacial pace. And come on 🙄 there’s -definitely- something on their shelves that could reverse global warming and give us access to free, unlimited, clean energy. And they’re hypocrites who keep the big toys for themselves — mostly weapons — with zero governmental oversight.

I'm rewatching Ted Lasso and I'm still obsessed with Project Hail Mary.

So of course, my mind just wander.

If Grace and Rocky watched the show during the trip back to Erid, would Rocky enjoy it ?

Am I right to think that Grace is Ted and Rocky is either Roy or Trent ( if Trent then I double ship them) ?

Does Eridians have a sport similar to Soccer ⚽ ?

Why am I suddenly interested in soccer even though I don't have the attention span to watch an entire match ?

It drives me insane how common and normalised racisim towards Arab people is.

Ofcourse a huge part of this is islamophobia, but it seems that they hate us all, even those who are non-Muslim.

The west has such a deep rooted hatered for Arabs and Arab culture that has existed for a thousand years.

Centuries of anti-Arab propaganda are planted into everyones subconcious that racist microagressions towards Arabs are the norm.

Every Arab character in western media is a backwards-thinking, bloodthirsty terrorist. They cannot see us as anything other than violent, an extremely false stereotype that the west so desprately clings to after all these years.

While people in europe were getting entertained by public executions, bear fights, and other such acts of greusome violence; the main source of entertainment in the middle east was public poetry recitals. Not to mention how liguistically and mathematically complex Arabic poetry was and still is.

We had air conditioning systems, psyciatric hospitals, surgical equipment, toothbrushes, bathrooms, public libraries, algebra, and many more before these concepts were even thought of in europe.

The first university in the world was founded by a Morrocan woman called Fatima Al Zahra' while europeans were burning women at the stake.

Our heritage has always been one of scientific and artistic innovation, and the western world owes so much to the work of middle eastern scientists and artists. Yet they cannot seem to let go of their hatered for us.
