Black and white vibe in full colour
Ok, so. I have sold (given away one) every luminous quilt I have done so far.
I feel like that calls for another one. In a colour way I haven’t done yet.
Love it. I love all of them.
This one still needs a good ironing before I throw it on the long arm, but yeah. This pattern is just… *chefs kiss*
Got around to loading this on the long arm. I used a lightly patterned dark purple cotton on the back from Northcott and light purple thread so the quilting would show up.
I think it’s gorgeous.
Light purple thread on the top as well so it shows up on the darkest outer fabric and blends in the further to the center it gets.
Floral quilting pattern of course, so go with the dark floral print.
And a beautiful striped binding that had all the purple colours in it. I could have used the outer fabric like I normally do, but this strip just looked so good up against all the other fabrics.
The quilt top is done. Finished it a couple nights ago. I’ve been doing the top stitching here and there. I love it though. Very proud with how it turned out.
It's a good day for tea.
My latest embroidery.
I’m working on including some mirror work!
I saw an old post of yours mentioning that you wrote a thesis on sprang - any chance I could read it? (feel free to dm if you don't wanna answer/post it publicly btw)
I'm getting very into sprang lately; currently just starting a shirt in that coptic dotted-diamond-zigzag motif that features heavily in the leggings shown in Dagmar Drinkler's paper!
Thanks for the question, sorry for the wait.
Yeah, it’s open access from this database
Spritt språngande: En terminologisk undersökning av språngning
It’s all in Swedish though, so you might have to translate that if you’re not proficient in the language 💚
My latest tatted thing was a little choker. Of course, I made it in red, which invokes a strong sense of French Revolution. But I think I could wear this out, to make everyone have a memento mori moment 💀
It’s okay
FINALLY FINISHED !!!
I’ve been at this since like September. Originally the plan was to do five panels but by the time I reached three I realized it was absolutely going to be too heavy. If the back bothers me then I’ll just buy some black fabric and sew it on.
I pinned it excessively since I have been warned the feathers won’t flatten unless blocked aggressively. They still don’t behave themselves 100% but again, if it bothers me I’m willing to steam block it in the future. Super fun before and after pics.
Pattern is of course the feathered wings shawl by my favorite pattern designer craftyintentions.

Third shawl of the year! (I've posted about finishing this shawl before, this is just the finished object post so I can search for just photos of my finished objects.)
This is Hayley Tsang Heather's Peony – Pfingstrose Shawl. I made this shawl out of Fyberspates Gleem Lace in the colorway 733 Everglade, and used 896 6/0 Miyuki Rocailles in the color: transparent silver-lined dark gold (RR-4).
The Ravelry project page is here.

Looking for a really warm hat and want to look like a 16th century whaler? Then I have just the thing. A really nice replica of a Basque whaler cap, made according to original archaeological findings.
