The poorest in society are unlikely to have the required ID and at the same time are unlikely to vote for the Conservatives.

A similarity can be seen with age brackets… and why they have designed some forms of youth ID to be unacceptable but OAP ID… FOR THE SAME THING… is a-ok.

steve rogers goes to his own exhibit with only a baseball cap as a disguise….. and only a kid recognizes him. its a trend that’s continued through the whole film. no one recognizes him bc of his face. seventy years under ice and history has replaced steve rogers almost completely with captain america. he’s been overshadowed by a legend. which, to me, makes it even more meaningful that when steve wears his vintage cap costume to jog bucky’s memory, it doesn’t work. its not until the cowl is knocked aside, the shield is dropped, and all that’s left is a little guy from brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight, that bucky remembers him

Some of you watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier and watched how Hydra was crawling around in S.H.I.E.L.D. while trying to murder millions of people, proving that authority can’t be trusted.

Then you watched Captain America: Civil War and went, “Steve isn’t following the government, he’s a criminal! He’s a hypocrite! Arrest him!” As if it hadn’t been two years since the helicarrier incident......

And then you watched Avengers: Endgame where Tony spouted off Hydra rhetoric and sat there thinking, “Yeah, this guy has a point. Who cares about anybody else’s freedom? Tony is right. Tony was right to build Ultron and help with Project Insight. Steve is such a jerk and a hypocrite for not coddling Tony in his time of need. O Leviathan, yawning wide Throat of the abyss, depth of black A beast of nightmare, lover of mine Let the predator consume, this prey provide Seven years after the horrors of Lanshiang, something is haunting the South China Sea. Chris assigns himself to the ensuing investigation, driven by a sense of responsibility and guilt, desperate for any sort of closure he can drag from the dark, unforgiving waters. After picking up strange signals from the supposedly destroyed underwater base during reconnaissance and fearing that Neo-Umbrella could still be a threat, he goes against mission protocol and infiltrates the ruins of the facility alone. His worst fears are realized as he’s captured by Neo-Umbrella hold-outs, but he discovers something far more alarming; something else has survived in the ruins, something that could outrank even HAOS— —and it's multiplying.

Long time no… uh… alive. Heh. I still plan on finishing up my marvel fics, but in the meantime Resi has grabbed me by the balls these past few months and I just needed to write. So… here, have the prologue to my very long, body horror rich and terato-certified nivanfield fic. Heed the warnings and tags, and this is gonna be a bit of a long fic but hopefully you’ll enjoy the ride!
