My baby Kitty who I am calling my baby despite the fact he’s 15 which the vet keeps reminding us is “super senior”

He is on his way out, he was diagnosed with leukemia not too long ago. We want to be able to put him down when it gets bad. And we need 160$ for that. Then to take care of his body it’s another 350$ if we want to get his ashes back and we really do. I am tired of begging but this is my baby.

this is really interesting in how it frames disability/low spoons/etc as not being a series of internal symptoms, but specifically a situation in which daily tasks increase in complexity. for example i used to be able to wash the dishes normally. but now mental and physical issues combine to make that situation have a lot of prequalifications (do I have time, energy, how long can I do it without being sore the next day) that means many more steps are involved in getting that single physical act of washing a dish to be done.

Some things about this post since getting quite a few notes:

1. If you see this post, highly recommend taking it as an opportunity to set a timer for 15 minutes and switch over to ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY. if after those 15 minutes, you want to go back to scrolling, that's okay!

2. Huge shout out to this popping up in my notifs often, bc I do go back to activity.

3. I think there are times where scrolling is fine. Right now, for example, I'm being connected to a machine for two hours to donate plasma and platelets.
