One of the reasons why I decided to start this project was, that I encounter many people who don't have an idea what do I do as a production designer and unfortunately it is often people involved with film industry. Another reason is, that besides just a few webs, with what I would like to cooperate, such as artdepartmental, there is no ultimate resource webpage about art direction, set dressing etc. The best source for informations are actually webpages of art directors and production designers themselves. I would like to change it and provide people from industry the same as movie fans or students with place, where they can read about movie art direction, find resources from preproduction phases of movies, backstage photos, documentaries and if they would like to learn even more about the movie or a person, to provide them with directions where they can get more complex informations as well. The last reason is, that while doing it, I can do extensive research for my work and hopefully became a better production designer.
