The thing I find most fascinating about Shingeki no Kyojin is foreshadowing

Honestly, this show has SUCH a high rewatch value. Sometimes you notice the details but only after some revelation you are like OMG SO THAT'S WHY IT'S THIS WAY!

One of my most favourite examples that I have noticed during my latest rewatch is pretty much only noticeable if you are a little bit capable of understanding Japanese.

So throighout the whole series you can notice that aside the names the characters almost never use 'non-japanese' words (or simply katakana words) - the only one I recall hearing being ティースプーン (tii supuun - teaspoon).

But suddenly - in the latest season we have this character running around and shouting things like ゲームセット! (geimu setto - game set) and パーフェクトゲーム (paafekuto geimu - perfect game) and in hindsight this just makes so much sense and I simply can't help but adore it.

This anime is a real treat for people who enjoy little details.

Okay but do you realise

that when you catch a Pokémon in the wild it could've been a mother who was desperately looking for something to feed her children with because her husband had died due to the wounds he had acquired while fighting a nasty trainer who wanted to take the one cub who was a different colour than the others but he managed to protect his family at the cost of his life and so now she struggles to keep the children alive and you force her inside a small ball and now she constantly thinks about her little ones who have most probably starved to death but maybe they're still alive somewhere out there and she's depressed and broken and you still force her to fight your battles.
