The fun answer: Yes because that rocks

The wet blanket answer: I headcanon that the pokemon world's application of medical science is particularly advanced; partially thanks to Pokemon; that surgery is far less invasive. My wife's had whole lil' headcanon dumps about how you can like, have a Luxray perform X-rays with their vision that a Psychic-type uses to make small surgical cuts without even breaking the skin. Something in that neighborhood.

For sure! That Zoroark is from my flagship fic, Another Road Repaved. She's known as Swyn; loosely based on Movie 13 Zoroark, but not the exact same one. During a brief excursion to Unova that Ash and Dawn take because of... events that happened back in Kanto, they find a Zoroark chasing down a poacher who took her cub. She's pretty resistant to help at first, but ultimately comes to trust Ash, and they work together to save her lil' guy. Her cub, Rura, convinces her to join them, so Swyn joins Ash's team, and Rura Dawn's.

Swyn's an outcast Zoroark from her old pack; a young mother and widow who left to fend for herself and Rura after being ostracized.

She starts off with rather low self esteem, barely taking care of herself as long as her cub is healthy. She's meant to be a direct parallel to Ash overexerting himself to protect others and trying to shoulder burdens so others don't have to carry them. They're foils who find comfort in each other. Swyn kinda subconsciously adopts Ash as a rebound for her last relationship without even realizing it. It takes them several years to realize the roles they've fallen into.

Luckily, she's far healthier and happier, these days!

I'm kidding, her standards aren't that low, but like, Peeks has an affable personality and he's strong, so she probably flirts with him sometimes.

What is Ash's Tinkaton like?

Hammah is like if you mashed Meowth and Brock together and they miraculously managed to make it charming.

A talking Pokémon who speaks like a mob lackey with a foul mouth, and has a bit of a womanizing (gender neutral) streak. She's extremely proud of her hammer, and regularly fastens more scrap metal to it whenever its weight becomes trivially easy for her to wield, to make herself stronger. While Tinkaton are typically known to pack most of their physical strength into their mallets and lack in stopping power otherwise, Hammah's quite powerful, with a lot of tough muscle underneath her chubby exterior, thanks to this habit.

Hammah once had a trainer who had to release her; little is known about this, except that it's the source of her speaking human languages. She met Ash one early morning in Paldea when she launched a giant boulder that struck a Corviknight; nearly dropping the bird atop the man at a distance. He and his newly-joined Sprigatito ventured to see what the fuss was about.

Ash grabbed her hammer, Nelly, right out of her mitts. Hammah was so baffled that a human could lift the damn thing that she came around to respecting him rather quickly. It was an easy way to stand atop the Tinkaton pecking order. Also, he's pretty hot for that. She was happy to tag along. She and Ash like to trade barbs and insult one another; she brings out the Pallet Towner in him, and she digs being ribbed back.

It's a weird love language.

Ash is essentially the only person she listens to, referring to him affectionately as "Boss." Anyone else can take a fuckin' hike.

She does love her other teammates, genuinely, despite her obnoxious disposition. She considers them all her found family.
