Sorry I can’t do work today. Yeah it’s Patrice Bergeron. Yeah it’s gonna be all day.

idk like honestly some of the posts taunting the bruins right now are kind of funny. I mean if i wasn't a diehard bruins fan i would also not be rooting for goliath. The reason this loss hurts has nothing to do with embarrassment or humilition. it's that this team loved each other more than i've ever seen any other team. it hurts and it's sad because the players are so truly hurt and sad because they wanted to do it for each other. it hurts because this was the most fun, carefree, happy team i have ever seen and their season ended in tears. it hurts cause i love them not cause i love winning.

HERNIATED DISC?!?!?!!
man like. on the one hand, i never want to see bergeron retire—he is the heart and soul of this team—but on the other hand, i want nothing more than to see him go out on his own terms. i don’t want him to keep picking up single season after single season, continually risking injury, just for the pipe-dream hope of another cup or because he thinks the team needs him. he raised an entire generation of new bruins leadership in his image and no one will ever match him, but he should be able to retire in peace knowing that his legacy will carry on in the players he mentored.
the thing that gets me about bergeron and marchand crying as they hug is that you can only see Marchand's face and helplessness is written all over it. Bergeron is the man all of bruins nation has always relied on and looked too and here he is, slumping over, hiding his face in Marchand's shoulder, completely breaking down. This man who has led everyone through everything, fell apart with Marchand holding him. The amount of respect it shows between Bergeron and Marchand is immense but Marchand's face. He doesn't know what to do because this is the man who always did everything.
win or lose i WILL be crying abt patrice bergeron
by the way the crying has COMMENCED 🤪
