absolutely insane episode as per fucking usual but perhaps most insane detail of all that's gonna get glossed over is the reveal that the birthing cabin was made specifically to facilitate the severed women WHOM JAME EAGAN GOT PREGNANT. not only has he been siring bastard children on mistresses THOSE MISTRESSES WERE INNIES. he's been leveraging his position as the ceo (which in lumonspeak is basically the head of the church, a pseudo-deity figure) to manipulate and seduce women already lacking in personhood whom are emotionally children and then shipping them off to be hidden away when he leaves evidence behind. remember the news broadcast in season 1 mark was watching about a severed woman who became pregnant at work. we finally have an answer to how that happened. it really is just a means of enacting violence against women all the way down huh!!!

The concept of Kier's """twin""" is so interesting when paralleled with Severance. Kier jerked off in the forest and was ashamed of it, so he made up a fake brother to blame the act on. Someone else to take the blame and get punished. It was him who jerked off, not me. He was the sinner, not me. So Dieter got punished, not Kier. The Innies really are just the Outies' punching bags to take the punishments, and bear the consequences of whatever their Outies do. Mark drinking all day and leaving Mark S to deal with the hangovers. Gabriella wanting kids, but leaving Gabby to bear the pregnancy and childbirth. Severed workers not wanting to work, so their Innies have to do it.

my gf said something sooo insane about helly the other day and i cannot stop thinking about it. she was like. helena and helly’s relationship is almost maternal. the way helena created helly as an extension of herself, to serve her interests, to try and impress her own family. she scolds helly, talks down to her like a child. “i understand you’re unhappy with the life you’ve been given” “i am a person, you are not”. the way she envies and resents helly’s freedom. the way she feels entitled to helly’s life and is now living vicariously through her in the most literal sense. what if you created life and now they’re experiencing the things you’ve always wanted for yourself. what if you created life and they were flawed and loud and demanding and they were loved more than you’ve ever been. and you hated them for it. the mother/daughterisms are insane my girlfriend is insane
