I hope everyone had a great weekend. Here is a new art study tutorial I found a bit difficult to understand. But I think I got close to getting it.
++++ TUTORIAL ++++
Drawing Tool: Krita (FREE Software Painting Tool)
STEP 1: Draw a circle with a darker shade from the background. Therefore use a brush with a thick or strong brush stroke.
STEP 2: Then add a brighter shade inside the circle with a brush that has a lighter brush stroke to it. So you can blend the colors smoothly.
STEP 3: Depending on the light source or direction of the light you shade the water drop.
STEP 4: Right under the water drop a brighter shade appears. (That doesn’t have to apply to every scenery drawing a water drop). That brighter shade appears because of the lighting. Since it is a transparent object the light source sort of shines through.
STEP 5: Where the Highlight appears the shadow does as well.
STEP 6: Add a little detail to it. And VIOLA you have your water drop.
