He will debate just fine, but doesnt matter who he's fighting with, once they hit the level of frustration where they are raising their voices the tears start coming. He gets accused of trying to manipulate ppl by crying. As an older man hes a bit better abt regulating it bcz he works so hard to deescalate arguments and talk so calmly at least partially for that reason.

Erik, very obviously, wants to leave and Charles is, very obviously, following him. And is tracking him just right so that they meet in the corridor.

The funniest thing is how they both know the other is lying, but don't call each other on it at all and just play this game together.

Charles doesn't call Erik out on the fact that he's trying to leave and Erik doesn't even mention that Charles obviously tracked him with his telepathy and read his mind and intention. Charles also doesn't mention the fact that by now Erik surely knows the whole outline of the CIA base.

When Erik asks Charles where he's going he is legitimately amused and Charles starts smiling just before they both turn away to go back from where they came from.

The two of them are just so ridiculous together.
