no offence but is this seriously what we're doing for the rest of our lives. like. just work minimum wage and drink soy lattes? be a 4.75/10? I half-heartedly thrift for my clothes and watch the world collapse around me in a very boring and predictable way? sure I can go hike the fucking pacific crest trail and I romanticise my bus ride and listen to hozier or whatever the tiktok girlies say these days. but this can't be it.

yes? obviously? like i will be honest, you would be pressed to find someone who is not, at the very least, vaguely aware that some people have it worse than them. the knowledge that i am not, indeed, a child in a basement in omelas does not mean that any criticism of the fact that we're expected to be grateful to spend the majority of our waking hours working at useless bullshit until we die for the sake of affording basic necessities in a society where everyone could have enough isn't valid.

like yeah, sure, could be worse, but it could be better, and that's important too

Me: ya know dad and Frank are drinking and mom is out doing whatever the fuck she wants.

Me: I'll probably just catch the L or take the bus.

Fiona: No I am not having that. I'll take you. You had breakfast yet?

Me: nope I was gonna grab some when I went by the kash and grab.

Fiona: Sit down and take plate.

Lip: you know it's better not to argue with her.

Debbie: I need some markers and poster board!

Fiona: why'd you wait until now to tell me?

Me: here Debbie I have some.

*Ian and Carl come running down.*

Me: Ian your name tag is crooked don't need points off.

Fiona: out out we're going to be late. Kt I'll bring you a lunch after I drop you off.

Me: it's alright Fiona I know you have to work. I'll eat the school lunch.

Fiona: the moldy pizza? Yeah funny. I'll drop it at the desk pick it up before lunch.

Ian: congratulations kt. You're a Gallagher now

Daryl: *runs up to Carl and I*

Daryl: if y'all see Maggie y'all didn't see me.

*Carl and I look at each other*

Me: uh okay.

*Daryl runs off and Maggie comes stomping up a few minutes later covered in flour, feathers, and water.*

Maggie: where's Daryl?

Carl: haven't seen him why?

Maggie: did you have anything to do with this?

Me: no we just started walking back from Carl's cell.

Maggie: if I find out either of you had ANYTHING to do with this I'm Killing all 3 of you.

*Maggie stomps off*

*in the distance*

Maggie: Daryl Marvolio Dixon you're so fucking dead!

Me: is that Daryl's full name?

Carl: I think so.

Me: we should start planning a funeral.

Carl: good idea.

Maggie: I swear to God if Daryl farts then throws Glenn and I under the covers one more time I'm breaking up with both of them.

Me; BOTH OF THEM? WHAT DID GLENN DO?

Maggie: he encourages it.

Daryl: *confesses his love to me in front of my boyfriend while thinking I was Beth but actually kissed someone else and is actually dating someone completely different*

Me: Daryl you good?

Daryl: yeah just don't think my boyfriend and girlfriend love me.

Me: boyfriend AND girlfriend? I knew you Maggie and Glenn were having sex but I didn't know you were also in a relationship with other people.

Daryl: actually we're dating.

Me: wait you and Maggie and Glenn are dating?

Daryl: yes

Me: I'm done nope I'm out!

Me: oh he's fine just hallucinating in cell block D and killing every single walker he finds.

*everyone in the cafeteria awkwardly*

Rick: I didn't mean to sleep with her it just happened.

Hershel: just happened? She's 18.

Me: and that means she's an adult so adult business should stay adult business.

*everyone starts yelling*

Carl: wait you've been too busy grieving to help me grieve when I'm the one who fucking killed mom, me, and now I find out you're banging my girlfriend's twin sister.

Rick: Carl--

Carl: I don't want to hear it. *stomps off*

Me: Carl!

Hershel: Rick now I know you two are adults but this isn't okay and you know that.

Rick: she's an adult.

*Hershel starts chasing Rick around with his fake leg while no one stops him*

Tyrese: I know you guys are having some problems but--

Maggie: some problems?! He slept with my sister who is 2 years older than his son.

Me: speaking of Carl I'm gonna go see if he's okay.

Beth: so I did something really bad.

Me: wait like making out with Rick.

Beth: and sleeping with him.

Me: I'm sorry I think I heard you wrong.

Beth: nope I slept with Rick.
