Arduino MIDI Controller

I just finished my first Arduino prototype that wasn't one of the example circuits found on the arduino.cc website.

I have built a MIDI controller for my DigiTech Whammy IV pedal using my Arduino UNO. The Whammy IV has a MIDI In which allows you to control every function of the pedal remotely using MIDI, treadle position, preset, bypass.

I wanted to be able to change preset by tapping on a momentary switch, saving me having to bend over and change it manually with the built in preset select every time. That's probably just laziness, but I can change preset with the tap of a button on my multi-effects unit, so why not the whammy as well? Plus, it's hella cool to be able to do it with a little breakout MIDI box instead of having to use my hands! And now I can easily change mode mid-song.

I searched high, low and sometimes to the west on the internetz to see if I could find a sketch that someone else had written for this exact circuit.

Unfortunately, if you search the webnet for anything relating to the Whammy you are battered with a sea of results relating to Muse or Tom Morello.

I managed to get a sketch together after altering one I found on a Muse fanpage and getting some help from a guy on IRC! I can't believe people still use IRC!!

I now need to build this for REAL and put it in a box so I can use it with my band.

I am King of Drum things.

I can do all the drums. I do the symbols, the highhates, the based rum and main drum. I designed this BEAT with Ableton and then done a copy of the beat using real hands and a desk. I think this ultra beats would go really go greats with some of the songs of some bands out ther.
