"I try sometimes Tone I try. It makes sense ya. Need a drink don't go across town alcohol is alcohol."
"Least in Cardiff, it guaranteed interesting people. I only see⦠the elderly. Bore. I should have stayed home and read."
"You did come to the worst bar in town now Tone, lot has changed. Only reason I'm here is because it's close to home."
"Never paid a bar cover before.. Bristol has gone to the dogs."
"I know it sucks right?"
Lloyd is gay. You won't get with him.
Who said that I wanted to get with him? I can't have friends? Maxxie is gay and I'm really close with him. I can have men who are just friends. Doesn't mean I have to shag them. What the fuck.

Lloyd reaches for his wallet and pulls out aĀ 50 pound note, showing it to Michelle before slamming it on the bar. He downs the rest of his cup before slamming that down as well and asking for refill as well as one for the girl next to him. āCoke and rum. Well, Ā mostly rum, to be honest.ā He shrugs and takes a sip of the new glass in front of him.
"I just need to drink. Iāve been trying not to. At least- trying not to get drunk. The guy Iām kind of with doesnāt really like when people get out of their head drunk. But I need that right now, you know?"
Michelle smiled and nodded "I completely understand- I've been trying to find someone to drink with me because first off drinking alone is sad." She shrugged "If you need to get shitfaced you could come back to my house and crash. Mum is out with some man I don't care about and I'm down to get drunk. I kind of need it"
She smiled "Rum and Coke will work- let's just take it easy and get a bit messed up and we can go to my house after and smoke some spliff. I've got quite a bit" She shrugged

"The bar on seventh street?" Lloyd texted back. He was already there, nursing his second drink as he tried to ignore the urge to reach in his pocket and light up a spliff.Ā
He looks up when someone sits next to him and he smiles when he sees itās Michelle. āHey. Lovely you could come. Want a drink on me?ā
"Sure on my way" She smiled and made her way there. She lived pretty close and that made it easier for her to walk there. Once there she looked around for Lloyd once she located him she walked to him
She smiled softly "You don't have to if you don't want I can pay-" she sat next to him and took a deep breath "I'll have whatever you're having. I don't really have a preference I just drink"Ā
You're not fooling anyone Michelle. You're not okay. But that is okay. You love him and deep down I personally think he loves you. "It'll be okay in the end. If it's not okay then it's not then end." Let love guide you.
People say you never stop loving your first love. And I guess that is the case. But apparently we're not good for each other and I have to respect that. He doesn't think we'll work out I can't just make him ya know? He has to figure it out on his own. If we get back together then we do but right now it doesn't look like it'll happen. Thanks Anon for caring so much but as of right now I am okay.

Michelle smiled as she closed her phone. She was going out with a new friend for a drink and it made her excited. She was getting out of the house and meeting new people which was always exciting to her. After showering and putting on her clothes and make up she texted Lloyd.
"Hey did we ever decide where we are meeting? I am ready whenever you are. I don't mind the place either."
She shut her phone and sat on the couch turning on the tv to pass the time until they decided where they were going.
you should come get a drink with me.Ā
Sure that sounds nice! Where do you want to go Lloyd?'
I only ever hear my mom scream. Whatās it like- hearing a parentās normal voice?Ā
Oh hun that doesn't sound fun. I mean it's not the most thrilling thing in the world but it's alright.
so what are you up to?
Right now I'm sitting on my couch listening to my mum talk on the phone... thrilling huh
Reading is perfection. Just utter perfection.Ā
I'm not the best at it. I mean I can read and I read every now and then like a book every two or three months but yah'
Reading and getting high. Itās the good life, huh?Ā
Iām Lloyd. Hi.Ā
Art museums and being high is always good to. I'm not the biggest reader but I've gotten better.
I'm Michelle- Nice to meet you
Iāve decided that Iām not feeling much like being inside right now. Iām going out and Iām taking Lewis carroll, A. A. Milne, Chuck Palahniuk, John Green,Ā Markus Zusak, and Jay Asher along with me.Ā
Nice evening of reading?
Or what's gong on?
Rekindling || Sid & Michelle
His hand automatically waved.Ā Fuckinā wanker, he thought. What the fuck was that? Wow⦠As soon as he got done cursing himself inwardly, he finally took her appearance in. She lookedĀ radiant. Beautiful as always. He swallowed the lump forming in his throat and hoped one wouldnāt form below. If anything, heād have to excuse to the bathroom and squeeze one out. God, he was despicable.
"HeyāhiāāChelle," he greeted with his trademark sheepish grin.
She must have thought he was more of an idiot than ever before. As she stepped aside, he stepped inside; shuddering as he got the chills. He surveyed the hall and turned back around to face her.
"This is nice, āChelle," he stated, smiling more visibly now. "Your mum is still into interior designing? I know my mum could use a few pointers."
Yes, he had remembered such a mundane detail after all these years.
She smiled and once she got him in the house and shut the door she pulled him into a hug. She leaned her head on his shoulder and exhaled a bit. He looked good. The past five years seemed to treated him pretty well.
"Damn Sid I missed you"
She pulled back and smiled "Yeah mum is still doing the designing thing. It's a bit more so because of the Italy trip"
She led him into the living room and sat down patting a place next to her on the couch.
Rekindling || Sid & Michelle
He got off on the corner of the block and trekked the sludge that was supposed to pass for snow. His Tesco bag crinkled with every step. He hadnāt bothered to text back as he was close to her flat. 280⦠280⦠He scanned the addresses until he finally laid his eyes on the flat. She was right. It wasnāt far from her old one all those years ago.
Sid shivered as he knocked on the door and shifted his feet, attempting to keep warm. What would he say? What would he do to not seem like a complete twat? Shake her hand? A friendly hug?
He bit his lip and cursed at himself under his breath. Why was he such a complete wanker. Maybe he would just hold up the biscuits, shove it in her arms, and make up a petty excuse to have to leave early.
No, no. He couldnāt. He took a deep breath and tried to beat the anxiety away. He shouldnāt make such a big deal about this.
Michelle patiently waited to hear the doorbell or knock depending what he would do. She was nervous- mostly the same way she was before Tony came. The same list of "what ifs" went through her head. What if I'm fat to him now? What if he doesn't really want to be friends anymore? What if he doesn't like who I've become?
She turned on her tv and closed her eyes trying to silence her mind a bit. She didn't need to worry about Sid. He was the only friend who stayed concrete through the years. Always being her rock for her to fall back on. Michelle knew that since the last time they've seen each other there had been a lot going on with both of them.
She took a deep breath before she heard a small knock on the door knowing it had to be Sid. She smiled a bit and checked her hair in the mirror before opening the door.
Rekindling || Sid & Michelle
As soon as he received a text from Michelle he changed into his best washed and looking clothes. It was bitter outside and as he bundled up in his outer trappings he ignored his mumās questions. No, he didnāt have a girlfriend. No, she wasnāt going to be a grandmother soon. Noāhe wasnāt going to āhave a go at muffā. She was a bit pissed, but he knew the best thing would be to ignore it. He kissed his mother good-bye and promised heād be back in time for dinner. Which was the truth because Sidney would never miss a home-made meal.
He walked to the nearest bus stop and didnāt wait for long. Soon he boarded the bus and texted Michelle as he made his way to her old street. it was surreal that he was going to do such a thing. So many things had transpired between them. Perhaps they could start fresh.
Chocolate biscuits, alright? What movie's do ya have? Nothin' sci-fi or fantasy, I'm assuming.
He locked his mobile phone and waited for a response. Heād be there in no time soon. Maybe this was the time to wipe their history clean. He felt optimistic.
Michelle was sitting on her couch as Sid texted her back and forth.
"I don't live under a rock Sid. I do have the Sci-fi and Fantasy stuff just I'm not the most fond of them. And yeah Chocolate biscuits sound lovely thanks"
She wasn't sure what exactly was going to happen. She wanted to just hang out with Sid but last time that happened she ended in a huge break down and she was done with the crying. She just wanted to fix the friendships between all of her friends.
The situation with Tony hurt her a ton and she really just needed to calm down and relax with some friends.
