Season 2 thought: imagining a montage (because this show loves a good montage) showing Hollanov’s first year as boyfriends before Ilya signs with Ottawa. Scenes of Ilya’s teammates in Boston asking what debauchery Russia’s greatest love machine got up to the night before interspersed with scenes of him and Shane cooking dinner together and cuddling on the couch watching TV. Scenes of Shane’s teammates chirping him about being a wholesome good boy who never goes out or gets laid because he’s busy reading hockey books and going to bed at 8pm interspersed with scenes of Shane and Ilya having sweaty filthy passionate sex (“hold on to something, Rozanov.”)

I’m in the parking lot screaming as mascara tears stream down my face.

People gather. Naturally. Because when a stranger is out there screaming at the Wendy's parking lot, you gather. “Ma’am… who are you looking for?”

And I’m trembling “MY LOVE. HE WENT MISSING AND NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING!!”

Then, then, someone steps up. A real one. A hero. They go, “Okay. I’ll help. Do you have a picture?”

And boy, do I. Several in fact. I show one of them to the kind stranger.

They go non verbal. Shocked. I am terrified.

“Do you know him?! Do you know where is he?!”

They look at me, confused and worried.

“Ma’am… This is a picture of Hudson Williams. Eating a banana.”
