Newly Unearthed Bowie Performance from 1973

So as the story goes, this awesometown performance of Jean Genie was lost forever when the good ole BBC erased the tape so it could reuse the tape!?!  However one sly McFly cameraman was like, nope, I got this one guys, no worries and thanks to youtube, the world can see it now, your welcome, and we was like, WOW, we are welcome, thank you camera man.

Son of a Gun

Well if there is one thing we love, among the many things we do, it is a culinary adventure. No doubt Los Angeles offers many an eating excursion (like too legit Korean BBQ in Koreatown where you went so authentic no one speaks English and you had to order by pointing at the menu (happened)).

Enter Son of a Gun.  Its gotten lots of good press and supposedly is the bomb.  Well, let us cut to the chase, it was the bomb, a big old yummy-tasty-we-just-ate-alligator kinda boom!  

We started with a delicious Maui Brewing Co Coconut Porter which was delicious by all accounts

We then paired that with smoked mahi fish dip, celery, radish and crackers.  A little light, but great none the less.

From there it was, boom! gimme dat entrée.  We got 2: the amberjack crudo, galbi vinaigrette and watermelon radish and then, the most best ever, hold on to your socks: alligator schnitzel, heart of palm with orange.  you heard it right: ALLIGATOR!!!!!!

I don't know the last time you had alligator, but we sure know the last time we did!  Oh, and in case your wondering, yes it was over the top delicious. To be honest, just go, we don't need to write any more about it, just believe the hype and enjoy.

Go, have a good time, feel great, smile, and remember we told you so, no literally, we just told you.

Christmas Wishlist #3: Timex Camper

Have you also noticed that every "man" these days has a hard on for anything "vintage" or "vintage inspired"?  That anything their Grandpa might have worn is now in vogue. They seem ready to build a house, chop wood and storm the beaches of Normandy all while standing in line at Starbucks to order their morning low fat latte while "checking in" on their iPad before they head to work (and by work we mean sitting at a desk with the glow of their Macbook Pro on their faces).

Aw Vruck It...It Was Parked Outside

Uhhhhhhhhh....what is this awesomeness parked outside our offices today?!  We don't know.  It's like a Dodge van and truck got drunk had a wild night together and 9 months later this little red painted beauty popped out.  So naturally we called it a Vruck.  Can anyone tell us what this actually is, cause we wanna buy one like yesterday.

LA Based 4x4 reinventor Icon has been re-imagining past off road masters for a couple years now and if we had the money (which we don't) we would love to own any of these masterpieces.  Its pretty simple: take something that was/is awesome, make it better, keep the look that is loved and make it do better what it was meant to do.  A great ethos for pretty much anything.

Holy Smokes, Our Minds Just Got Blown (Seriously)!!! Human Form=WOW!!!

Someone call in Joey Lawrence circa Blossom cause we need a WHOOOOOOOOOA!!!!!

Nokia recently introduced a new concept phone called the Human Form and its AWESOME!!!!  Seriously AWESOME!!!!  Now we are all Apple all the time, but this is rad. Nokia really does it with the implementation and use of nanotechnology (everyone is going to be doing it moving forward so I mean, we told you so +a couple years).

Drink Some Ninkasi, Cause We Do

We drink Ninkasi on a regular basis, you should too.  It's a tasty treat of a beer from Eugene, Oregon and if you can get your hands on it, it is just too good.

We were recently up in the great Eugene, OR area and so we stopped by to have a couple (well, it ended up being more than a couple).  They have a real nice spread so if you are ever in the Eugene area, stop on by, throw back a couple and enjoy!
