But think about the kind of will power Dean must have to be able to lock a friggin Archangel in his mind? The kind of control he must possess to turn his mind into a cage and himself a prsion?

Like, remember Dean’s hardly a picture of perfect mental health. His self esteem is non existent, his life is full of betrayal and sorrows and his nightmares have nightmares. He’s been beaten and bruised and hurt so many times that him being functional is nothing less than a miracle.

But despite all that, despite the non existent self worth, despite being broken and traumatised, Dean finds enough determination inside himself to restrain an Archangel in his mind with nothing but his indomitable will and conviction.

He may be tired, he may be bloody, he may be holding his broken insides with nothing but a duct tape, but he will still fight back, he’ll never surrender.

How can you not admire this man?
