Anti-revenge narrative this, anti-revenge narrative that, I personally think that Inigo Montoya had the right idea when he stabbed Count Rugen in the gut and said "I want my father back, you son of a bitch"
A lot of revenge arcs end with the hero saying "there's nothing you can do to bring my loved one back, so me seeking revenge is pointless." The Princess Bride's revenge arc ends with Inigo Montoya saying "there's nothing you can do to bring my loved one back, so there's nothing that can save you."

Theres something so incredibly emotional about the yearning in period dramas bc like I just finished watching seeking persephone and it was so so SO DAMN good, the chemistry, the soft touches, the longing, the DELICIOUS YEARN😭😭
One good thing 2026
Binged Seeking Persephone. Lost my mind. 10/10 recommend
(there is one (1️⃣ ☝️) fanfic on ao3 abt them)
I saw one (1) clip from Seeking Persephone and I just knew that series was made specifically for me. You can't just throw a scarred, grumpy duke at me and expect me to keep my last brain cell.
You should've come in when they first started. And curled up on the bed wrapped up in that blanket.

Reblog if you too do not want to share outside with them.
I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy
Here he is, the Aldi Cowboy
