You’re never really in the moment so you can’t ever really hang onto it.

Hey guys~ 

I’m just getting on for the first time today and finding out about the news on the US concerts and I just have a few personal thoughts that I need to get off my chest… This is really more for my own personal peace of mind right now than anything else (so it’s ok to skip it)…

The past couple of days have been wild huh? When the news of SHINee coming with SWCV to the US I was flabbergasted…and immediately in the depths of depression because there was no way I thought I could make it possible to go. for 12 hours I was nothing but a bundle of angst and woe-is-me nerves. Then I started reading our dear fyjjong’s posts on how previous sub-culture k events have gone and it gave me hope. The last 36 hours I’ve been anticipating the imminent news of a Chicago concert stop and scheming how I was going to beg, borrow, and steal to get myself there. In my head I had already planned how I was going to get there, where I was going to get a hotel, what tumblr friends might be coming to that city and how amazing it was going to be to get to meet them and hang with them! (Would anyone like to go to dinner and an ice cream date???) I was planning on how I would need to go get new cortisone shots to be able to survive all that time on my feet. When I was getting my hair cut today I was even thinking about how cute it was going to be for the concert and planning my outfit to wear. I was in pearl aqua heaven. 

Then I log on and find out the concert tour really isn’t a tour at all- and even worse- no Chicago.

I am disappointed. I won’t lie. It’s a terrible thing to have something you want so badly to be dangled in front of you and then taken away. 

But here’s why I’m not in mourning, or throwing a pity-party, or sending fansite admins hate messages blaming SHINee for all of this (our boys had nothing to do with this at all in case you were unclear on that)- I’m choosing not to lash out because I believe SME’s greed. I actually lay the blame for giving us only two stops at their feet because I think they don’t know what to expect from the US market yet- even after the fanmeets- because let’s face it fanmeets are different than an actual concert. But here’s the thing- if they get a good turn-out- overwhelming turnout then I personally think later this summer, or into the fall that SHINee could come back, and come back to be in the northern midwest or on the east coast! Last year no one was thinking of there ever being a second fanmeet, but in the end there was. 

So I am ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBALLY HAPPY for all of my shawol friends that will be able to make it to one of the two dates!! I hope you have a blast. I hope you get to meet everyone you wanted. I hope you dazzle in cute outfits. I hope you scream so loud you embarrass the heck out of our boys (bonus points to anyone who can get Minho to blush). And I hope you show your shawol love so that they feel every ounce of how much they are loved- around the world and in the US. 

ALSO~ if you like me are not able to go I highly recommend getting involved with the many fanprojects that will be coming up for the concerts! @shineeusa has a form going for banner projects and I’m sure will have other things coming down the line that you can get involved with soon (and seriously if you aren’t following one of their accounts you should be because they are on top of everything, have been leading the charge for MMT to bring SHINee here, and they have great content!!) It also looks like @pyhforshinee is working on some projects for this as well so don’t miss out! 

And I guess that about wraps it up…

IMPORTANT UPDATES

Here are just a few things we wanted everyone to be aware of:

Due to the amount of followers and love this blog has received, there are currently 10 requests pending. Both admins are currently working on requests, but in order to keep them from piling up, requests will now be temporarily closed. As soon as the pending list drops down to at least 5, requests will once again open.

Because we want to keep the blog as active as possible and write as much fanfiction as possible, we have decided that to look for another co-admin! The co-admin should be caught up with the episodes, ready to help fill the queue, and willing to write fanfiction and fill requests. 

Before we choose, we will be asking for a sample of writing as well. You do not have to contact us with the sample initially, but please be ready to provide one when we ask.  

If anyone is interested, please contact either @midnightmoonlightmusic or @bangtan-army-canada to let us know. In your message, please tell us how active you would be able to be, as well as why you would like to join. We started this blog because of our love for Hwarang, so we want to pick someone who shares that same sentiment. 

Although there is no deadline, it would be nice to have another co-admin before the end of this week.
