The amount of customers who I've gotten to become regulars at work by just generally being my overly kind autistic self, Let two customers try my pen and we all laughed and coughed a bit. I don't get into trouble for recommending other stores that have products we don't because they realized that the customer then comes back because we cared enough to help them even if we didn't make a sale.

Vape shop work is generally incredibly autism because you are your own manager and as long as you can stand your ground it's a generally peaceful job where you can interact with your community deeply. I've prayed with a woman before who lost a friend to suicide, I let anyone vent and actively encourage people to tell me about their day so I have some regulars who just chat the shit with me naturally without some mask of doing right. I always thought I was bad with people and just awkward, Turned out I just needed a job I could flourish at!
