Aliche saw a glimpse of a tear in Seven's eyes. More precisely, she wanted to hope that it wasn't her imagination. Still, even if emotions can be hidden, you can't hide the body's reaction to them, even if you try to do it. The girl came even closer to Seven and wrapped her hand around his fist,
touching his cheek with the other.
"I just want to say that my words are true. Even if someone doesn't believe in them, I do, and I don't doubt them. I know it can be very difficult, but the path that you have traveled is so long. And yes, you have something to be proud of."
Then a difficult time came for them. Aliche did not understand at all how everything smoothly turned to this topic, which had worried her so much for so long. She knew that she could not talk about this with everyone, but she did not really want to talk to everyone. She wanted to talk about it with Seven, because it was calmer to talk about it with him.
"You know I'm ready to lay down my life for you. Become an agent, but I don't think the second one is so easy to accomplish. Try to merge with the network, move in time and space. Do you really think that a girl like me who is ready for such radical things can be stopped with the words "is it dangerous?" I know it can be dangerous, and I appreciate that you are trying to protect me from this path, but you know I am ready to go anywhere for you. I am even ready for sacrifices, although I understand that they are quite cruel here." Saying this, the girl did not hide her emotions, and did not seek to do so. It was obvious from Aliche that she was worried, embarrassed, and spoke sincerely. At the end of her persistent and frank speech, she noticed how something transparent ran down both her cheeks. It was the tears that gave her away and intervened in this conversation so unexpectedly, unexpectedly even for herself.
"I'm sorry, I got too carried away. I'm sorry, I probably don't look like I always do now, it's just that these are really very important words for me, and I wouldn't lie to you" - she saw how Seven wanted to comfort her, deep down she dreamed of being hugged, helped to wipe her tears (even though she understood how selfish it was after all, it was harder for Seven now than it was for her), but she pushed him away, just waving her hand, saying that "nothing special, I'm always like this."
The girl sighed heavily and said, "Thank you for everything, and see you again." "I'm sorry for everything," she added in a half-audible whisper, closing her eyes after that. She knew that she was doing it wrong, but nevertheless, she nodded to the void, as if to someone, gathering her courage. Although it was painful, but it had to be done. For a moment, the girl felt as if her head had been hit with something, during that moment while her head was hurting, various memories and even memorable phrases flashed through her head. What had always been a part of her life and soul was now leaving her so quickly, leaving only a feeling of hopelessness and hope that it was all for good reason. And then the space around her changed dramatically. For a second, this made Aliche feel confused, but then everything returned to normal. An ordinary apartment, and then everything is new, only deeper… and now she was waiting for a message from an Unknown Person, internally starting to burn with the desire to reach the one to whom she was so eager to come - to one crimson-haired genius hacker
Seven was stunned by the words uttered by Aliche. Was there really someone out there who would go through such a sacrifice for him? No, there couldn't be, could there?
Was there really someone out there who he could... confide in one day? Someone who he could open up to?
He saw her tears running down her cheeks, there is nothing he wanted to do more than wipe them away. Nothing he wanted to do more than hug her, comfort her, tell her that everything is going to be okay. Tell her that it's okay to show emotions, that she doesn't need to hide. Despite the fact that it would have been quite hypocritical to say so. He did the same after all.
His heart felt heavy. Deep down he knew that they could never be. Not in this timeline at least, but maybe in another life? During another time? He clung to this hope.
It startled him as Aliche pushed him out of the way. "Aliche, wait!" Seven cried out as he reached forward to grab her wrist, to pull her back. But he missed his chance, he reacted to slowly, she was out of his reach already.
Suddenly a tingling sensation overcame Seven, a headache so heavy it made his ears ring. A sensation he's never felt before. His vision began to fade... fade... fade... until everything went black.
Seven woke up, as an oh so familiar informant-colleague called out for him. head heavy on his keyboard.
"Dammit, did you fall asleep again? You know we have to get this done as soon as possible! Do you want to anger our client even more? God, you're impossible. I'll get you can of those sodas you like so much, now get back to work!"
"Ah yes. Will do Vandy~. Thank you.~" Seven answers.
His phone vibrates. And vibrates again. And again. He had no choice but to check who was blowing up his messages. "Ah the RFA chat, what's going on?" , he thought to himself before opening the application on his phone. "How the hell did an outsider get into here? Aliche... Who is she?"
His hands started to shake, his heart nearly beating out of his chest. Oh, why did this name sound so familiar?
