Medyo late post na ito 'coz medyo busy for the past days. Pero, it's better late than never. :) These kiddos, the current joy of my ministry. The people that reminds me that God is not yet done. That God has still so many plans, great and awesome plans, and that He stored it in the lives of each of these kiddos. Last week; in the hype of our church anniv, church-fam get-together, christmas season, and many more celebration, came my unwanted-battle. Yep. In one of the supposes to be most happiest season of the year, eh dun siya umatake. Hindi ko kinaya. I had to be away from everyone, even from my family. I needed to fight this on my own. And I'm afraid for any repercussion that might bring to others during this unwanted-battle. Thought it pains my heart, it's the beat thing I can do, at least. Days have passed. I recovered after four so-down, gloomy, heart-wrecking days. That was Friday (last week) when the agony of the unwanted-battle started to gradually ease. I was able to attend our last uouth fellowship for the year. And after that, I had a short-kumusta-talk with our church's youth pastor. A bit of relief I must say. What's the connection of this super-long post with these kiddos? Hmmm. Kasi, sila lang naman—bukod to my fam and one fellow youth leader, my previous mentee—ang naglakas ng loob na kumustahin ako. To the point they surprised me ng isang pa-McDo. They dared climbing the wall I built. Na kahit alam kong awkward ito for them, and that they are really shy 'bout this (at least some of them 😅) eh they still said words such as "kaya mo yan kuya jhay", "andito lang kami". I really cried after we had this dinner. I can't contain how I'm feeling that night. For the first time, of all the unwanted-battles that I had, this is the only moment when someone said to me "andito lang kame". That's why this moment is a sure-thing I won't forget.
