Does this describe a student or performer you know? If so, please share it with them & their parents! Thanks! -mw -- THE SCOOP -- I'll be doing some private coaching (both live/in person in Southwest PA, and by Skype) in the summer and fall. In person schedule for summer is already filling up, but I have space to take on a few more. May continue into the fall. Interested, please email: [email protected] Ideal students are ages middle school through adult** who fall under one or more of these categories: - Looking to develop as a solo beatboxer/vocal percussionist; - Already serving as, or want to be the vocal percussionist / beatboxer for an existing group or act (scholastic or extracurricular) - Getting started in live looping, or a stage performer looking to add or develop live looping as/for their live show (including those currently using virtually any hardware & some software loop applications, pls inquire) - Um, interested in being the kid who goes to school and tells their friends they're taking beatbox lessons? (I mean... someone was probably thinking it, right?) ** For younger students: Like any performing interest, beatboxing & looping can also be a great way to develop extroversion, confidence, and skills interacting with live audiences & group settings. Feel free to contact if your kid is showing the "beatbox bug"... I probably don't have to tell you the signs! -- ABOUT ME -- - website: OneMouthMusic.com - a lifetime of making funny sounds with my mouth - over a decade of live and studio vocal drumming for a cappella bands, bands bands, solo instrumentalists, including televised appearances on the syndicates of nearly every major network; - nearly a decade coast-to-coast touring as the vocal drummer for an a cappella act, including awards for arrangement and live performance; - five years national/international touring as a solo vocal live looper - countless workshops and performances spent as as "hey, that's the beatbox guy" at the live looping music festivals and "hey, that's the live looping guy" at the a cappella festivals, and been called both of these guys anywhere in the Pittsburgh area. -- THE END -- (at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
