The Long Walk characters as Jellycats
Listen I’ve been thinking about this for like a week straight now and I’ve been staring at all the bunny and puppy jellycats I want so bad soooooo time to assign the boys plushies!
Pete McVries - Tumblie Sheep Dog
I saw this and like it was perfect yall can NOT tell me it isn’t. Look at those kind faces, I see a pair of twins. There's something about them both, maybe it's the kind faces but they're both actively choosing love and to express it.
Ray Garraty - Smudge Bear
Once again a perfect match in my opinion. I know people like to give Ray deer imagery and I’m no exception however that boy gives me bear vibes and that includes his murderous intent.
Billy Stebbins - Smudge Rabbit
No explanation is needed; moving on.
Collie Parker - Timmy Turtle
This one was based purely on vibes. I saw Timmy Turtle and immediately went “that one is Collie’s” with no further explanation. I think it’s the fast, the stern and determined expression holding a soft and caring soul inside.
Art Baker - Galumphous Seal
HEAR ME OUT, galumphous seal is an adventurer. This is the Jellycat of someone who wants to explore and is above all else kind. What is the ocean but space for the creatures that live in it? They would go to the moon with each other.
Hank Olson - Peanut Penguin
Once again this one came to fruition because I saw Peanut and went "oh that's Hank" with no other context. Just look at them, two silly guys who both hold the love in their hearts close to themselves so that their love can't be tainted, so it can be private. I just know Hank gave Clementine pebbles. Also it matches with Art!
Richard Harkness - Bashful Kitten
This is part of my Harkness is a cat person agenda actually. I just know in his dream life he wanted a cat, probably an older senior cat, to lay on his lap as he typed the manuscript of his novel on a typewriter. I know it in my heart and soul. Also bashful kitten just LOOKS like an author to me.
Gary Barkovitch - Smudge Fox
Honorable mention to Lachlan Sad Rat, really wanted to put that as Barkovitch's Jellycat because once I saw him I busted out laughing (much like how I busted out laughing when Barkovitch talked about his Meemaw and quickly stopped laughing when he became a little dick). Anyway, Barkovitch just gives me fox or coyote vibes. As someone who grew up with a lot of wild coyotes and the occasional fox they are the perfect animal for Barkovitch. Aggressive and mean, overly protective but then once shown any ounce of acceptance or love they’re drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
Adam "Curley" White - LIttle Monkey
I just know Curley's mom called him her little monkey or some shit like that (totally not projecting because my mom would call me monkey). Also much like how Tumblie Sheep Dog is Pete's twin, Little Monkey is Curley's twin. LOOK AT THEM AND TELL ME I'M WRONG I JUST SEE TWO PHOTOS OF CURLEY.
