I think that whoever got it in people's heads that "autistic people have a stronger sense of justice" or whatever really messed with people's heads. Like you all took it to mean that autism makes you an inherently good person -- that it means you understand objectively what justice is. But all it really means is that you have a strong belief in what justice means TO YOU. So if you believe, for example, that fascism is "just" then you're going to throw yourself into that just as much as any "neurotypical" would. Hate to break it to you.

one of my favorite things about existing in a Gender way is when strangers perceive me and take a swing and a miss at what flavor of trans i might be but in a wholly supportive way. old guy checking my books out at the library looks at me checking out my queer books, clearly takes a moment trying to decide What i am based on my name on the card/my appearance/my general vibe, and lands on maybe a trans woman????? “Hope you like your books! You look beautiful today!” <- i am so flattered and charmed.
