PSA

So, as you may have noticed, it's been a really long time since I posted anything here! The thing is, I started a full-time job at about the same time as the HSO launched, and the resulting stress of trying to run a 1,500-participant event and also work 50-60 hours a week for over 4 months sort of drained my desire to be a part of Homestuck fandom or even think about Homestuck for extended periods of time. Part of me was hoping that post-HSO I'd be able to reconnect with my creative drive to do fanart, but...it looks like that's not going to happen any time soon. I'm not saying I will never ever post here again, but it's safe to say that this blog and my involvement in fandom (Homestuck or otherwise) is on indefinite hiatus. I've been in Homestuck fandom for over a year and a half, during which I've met some amazing people--too many to list, so I hope you know who you are!--and I'd say I've had a pretty good run, all things considered. Thanks to the 600+ of you who have stuck with me despite my long absences and terrible crackships! It's been an honor and a delight. Peace, y'all.

EDIT: to clarify, I don't mean the consort-focused humanstuck AU that is apparently a thing already! I was not aware of its existence and did not mean to reference it.  I meant that I want a sprawling epic wherein we get to see the consorts develop a thriving agricultural society over hundreds of years, driven by the prophecies they will never live to see fulfilled, until at last the final few consorts on the grey and barren land curl up in their graves so that the Maid of Life may someday find their dry and dusty bones.

anyway, I started doing some illustrations for it way back in January, and I finally got around to finishing this one!

got around to finishing the art for the HSO signup post today, which obvs I can't post for ages; decided to blow off some residual art-energy by doodling Meenah!

had the sudden urge to draw Scourge Sisters in the traditional dresses of my people

(I mean, I say 'my people' even though I am only like 1/4 Peranakan which is kind of a complicated identity anyway)

and then suddenly I shipped sad dreambubble spider girls, a lot?

I have a lot of unexpected feelings about these two and how they would hypothetically relate to each other and Mindfang and not being Mindfang!  

also I am trying to start drawing again; I stopped for like four weeks because of lack of time (not that I have time now), and...it kinda shows.

I'm really proud of all the hard work we put into this path!  A lot of really talented people put a hell of a lot of hours into this demo; RoH has evolved SO MUCH since the last demo we posted, and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.
