This is Jeremy pretending to be fine like he always does, but this time there's Jean who notices it everytime

THEN Jean is offering support because he knows they can help carry each other's burdens, and neither has to go through anything alone anymore

And I LOVE how the second verse mirrors Jean's own struggles ("claw yourself apart" and hiding bruises) while still being about Jeremy also feeding into his own guilt everytime he's alone and not caring enough about his own bruises

And lastly, this to me is the sound of the impending Jeremy breakdown
