I lost all my mods I’d downloaded, so it’ll actually be really good to list these out! I’ll also link dependencies (AKA mods you need for the mod you want to work) as well!I mostly use these for creative mode goofing off - I won’t be able to help you with any of this in survival! Most of these are also for animals, because I love the animals.
Basically it replaces basic farm animals with these updated models + introduces lots of new breeds! I’m a huge sucker for the piglets, they are the cutest little shits ever :>

Lots of new animals. I literally only installed it for the axolotl, which is very good.
My furniture mod of choice! Lots of options to spice up your build in tiny ways.
Cool plants! I like the way they look in a field. Lots of new variety in crops and craftable food!
Okay. The mod itself is either very good or very bad depending on who you are. I personally adjust a lot of the settings (I don’t like the reeds or round logs) but there’s a lot you can choose to adjust for this mod!
NOTE: The dependency link for this mod (Forgelin) allows for shaders to utilize “waving foliage” (leaves + plants) to work on modded leaves and flowers and plants! It bothered me for the longest time. However, you do need specific versions of both Forge and Optifine! You can see my tutorial detailing it by clicking here (watch sections detailing 1.12 Optifine, Forge, and Mods).
Apparently, this mod is no longer being updated as of the last time I used it. It has Biomes O’ Plenty support and is overall very cool! I love the snails and butterflies the most :>
Very cool. Very pretty. Love this mod! Making custom lights is a little bit of a pain and takes some patience but is SO worth it! A great way to ambiently light up a pretty screenshot!

Adds stuff like tools + armor for the new ores introduced by BoP. I like the ruby stuff!

This is kinda all over the place and for that I apologize - I found + redownloaded them as I went along :p
Remember that lots of mods can often interfere with one another in an awfully laggy manner. Be conscious of what you download and where from! Minecraft CurseForge is a great way to find all the mods you want without risking viruses. You can really find just about whatever you want there!
The one thing to take away from this is that I REALLY LIKE ANIMAL MODS.
